Wolves complete Johns signing

Warrington Wolves have officially confirmed the signing of Australian star Andrew Johns on a short-term deal.

The engage Super League club have pulled off a major coup to land the 31-year-old scrum-half, widely reputed to be the best player in the world.

Johns has been given permission by Australian club Newcastle Knights to join the Wolves for their final two regular season games in September and the Super League play-offs.

Johns said: ?It?s happened pretty fast, I?ve always harboured an ambition to play in the big games in Super League - they don?t get any bigger than the Super League final.

?There?s no time to ease in, the first game is against Leeds, it will be a big test but I?m looking forward to it.

?Hopefully I can add a little bit of polish and we?ll be a major force. I?m not motivated by money, I?m going over because I want to play in the big games and help Warrington win a Grand Final.?
