Shoot to the top after a masterclass - and without Shaun Johnson to boot! What a win. They are undoubtedly the real deal this year.
Last week: 1st.
Finally lost one! The Warriors were just too good on Friday night and the Dragons seemed to lack answers. Other teams will now rate their chances to expose them on the edges.
Last week: 5th
Hitting their straps big time. Play both top two sides in the coming fortnight which will map their path for the rest of 2018.
Last week: 3rd
Struggled at key moments against Cronulla. Did well to score points late but fell short.
Last week: 2nd
Would be frustrated after giving up the two points to Newcastle. Facing a stern test next Sunday against a rejuvenated Parramatta.
Last week: 6th
Looking *very* good and are this season's surprise packet along with the Tigers. Firmly entrenched in the top eight and will cause plenty of damage this season.
Last week: 7th
Would be moving up if not for the Rabbitohs' solid performance. Ground out a tough win over a defensively stoic Bulldogs side. The lack of points remains a concern as their attack waits to gel.
Last week: 14th
Looked very good against Penrith in arguably their best performance of the season. Still some concerns - the Panthers came steaming back at them late.
Last week: 11th
Courageous last minute win over an in-form Wests Tigers - away from home - did wonders. Now to carry that momentum forward to Brookvale on Friday.
Last week: 8th
Walked all over by the Storm - still struggling for consistency in their lineup with injuries aplenty. The loss of McCullough didn't help.
Last week: 15th
It finally clicked - albeit against a Titans side that can best be described as poor. It's difficult to tell whether this was a flash in the pan or not but we will find out.
Last week: 10th
Impossible to get a read on this mob. World beaters one week, then they lose to 15th place. Brennan must be a frustrated man.
Last week: 9th
Awful, awful performance. Trent Barrett is currently steering a club in crisis you'd have to say. Plenty of arguments to be made for this mob being lower.
Last week: 12th
After back-to-back wins they came crashing with a thumping loss to South Sydney. Look to be making up the numbers already unless something changes.
Last week: 16th
A big win over a disjointed and poor Manly gets them off the mark. They have a long way to go but there was plenty to like about their Round 7 performance.
Last week: 13th
This one's tough - the Bulldogs gave a solid account of themselves in defence against the Roosters, and but for some inept attack may well have caused an upset. But they didn't - and find themselves languishing.
