Nine on the trot - Canterbury went with them for a while but this side is the real deal this year. Seibold is a revelation in his first season in the head role.
Last week: 2nd
A team of young guns (led by a great of the game) did the job - just - against a wily Manly side at Brookvale. Given the result earlier in the year, it was an important win and sees them jump to 2nd on the table.
Last week: 3rd
Concerning signs in the loss to the Wests Tigers and now has the rugby league world questioning how well they're placed on the run to September. Unlikely to miss finals but need a serious form reversal or will risk missing Top 4. Cowboys this weekend present a good opportunity to get back to winning form.
Last week: 5th
Lost a host of stars ahead of last night's clash with the Titans but still got the job done. All class.
Last week: 4th
Another understrength week with Origin stars missing and it showed, with the Sharks overcoming them. Back to full strength this week and hopefully back up the ladder.
Last week: 7th
Did what was needed to beat the Panthers away from home, now need to down the Raiders to cement their top eight spot.
Last week: 8th
Back to form in a surprisingly good performance from a team that was sliding in the weeks before. Epic clash with Melbourne awaits this Sunday.
Last week: 6th
Unsure whether it was complacency, an Origin hangover or just a bad day at the office, but the Jekkyl/Hyde outfit is back. Penrith a huge test this Friday.
Last week: 9th
Keep their finals hopes alive week by week, albeit defeating cellar-dwellers over consecutive weeks. Any loss from here on is deadly to their hopes of snaring a September spot.
Last week: 10th
Pearce back and did *just* enough to overcome an enthusiastic Eels side, keeping their similarly faint finals hopes open for another week. Should account for the Titans on Saturday.
Last week: 12th
Impressive win over the Dragons has their fans up and about - whether they can transform it into some late-season form remains to be seen. Rabbitohs on Saturday makes or breaks their season.
Last week: 11th
Sliding badly. Smashed by Brisbane last week and now the Roosters this week, a loss to Newcastle puts them out of the finals race.
Last week: 13th
Competed admirably with the Storm but lacked the quality to finish them off.
Last week: 14th
Didn't disgrace themselves against a much better team in the Bunnies, but they're already planning for 2019.
Last week: 16th
Gave a good account of themselves against Newcastle and will rate their chances of downing Canterbury on Thursday.
Last week: 15th
Another shocker from a side truly on struggle street. They have the quality in the key areas, but the performances aren't there. Serious questions need to be asked in Townsville.
