Warriors' Papali'i stood down

The Auckland-based club have made boom forward Isaiah Papali'i unavailable for the side's opening round home game against Canterbury on Sunday, citing a club issue.

While remaining tight-lipped on what that issue is, Agnatius Paasi told media "It is disappointing from his end, because he has let the boys down, and I'm pretty sure he would have loved to have played round one".

Inglis no guarantee

South Sydney's Greg Inglis has told NRL.com he is no certainty to face the Roosters in Friday's season opener at the SCG. Whether he's foxing to keep the Roosters on their toes is another matter, but he told the 'Inside the NRL' panel he expects to know by Wednesday whether he'll be sporting the famous red and green horizontal stripes 48 hours later.

Stand-down rule finally ratified

The new "no fault stand-down" rule announced in recent weeks by the ARL Commission has finally been added to the NRL Rules.

Players from three clubs - Jack de Belin (Dragons), Dylan Walker (Sea Eagles) and Tyrone May (Panthers) have been stood down under the rule, pending the outcome of their court cases.
