Newcastle's lineup looks nothing like it did on Tuesday, with Origin stars Mitchell Pearce and David Klemmer out of the side. Buhrer moves to second-row, Mata'utia to centre and Kurt Mann into the halves, with Ese'ese lining up at lock. Aidan Guerra and debutant Phoenix Crossland are the new players on the interchange. Jacob Saifiti drops to the bench with King starting prop.

Just one change for the Warriors with goalkicking centre Patrick Herbert dropping out of the side, replaced by Gerard Beale.
