Cowboys with a set starting inside their own 30 metre mark... they need to score here if they are any hope but they have looked rudderless in attack tonight so I am not expecting too much.

Nothing is going right for the Cowboys tonight... they spread it left and it was certainly not a threatening move. Justin O'Neill can't handle it and based on that play alone I am happy to rule the Cowboys out of this game now.

Game is in the balance now. Antonio Winterstein goes inside but drops the ball and the Tigers have a full set beginning inside their own 40. David Nofoaluma and Chris Lawrence help the Tigers get out of their own end before Mahe Fonua forces his way past the 40 metre mark. Benji Marshall goes short to Michael Chee Kam who is tackled 20 out. Benji Marshall grubbers through but Ben Hampton takes it quite comfortably and the Cowboys try to get out of their own end. Matthew Scott, however, drops the ball just past halfway and the Tigers really need to capitalise on an ill-disciplined Cowboys side now.

Great acrobatics from the winger but he grounds it on the line. NO TRY!

A Kyle Feldt special on the kick-off sees the Cowboys regain possession and they are ten metres out from the Tigers' line with a full set to come!

The Cowboys survive, however, with JT cleaning up Brooks' grubber on the last. A slicing run by Kyle Feldt sees the Cowboys march towards their own 40 early in their set and JT tries to take advantage but his assumed attempt at 40/20 is poor and doesn't have the angle or metres. The Tigers are making easy metres and Jacob Liddle bursts through but earns a penalty and the Tigers will shoot for two.

Luke Brooks forces the drop-out with Lachlan Coote taking the grubber dead. More pressure for the away side.

Cowboys are making easy metres off the set after points with Jason Taumalolo taking them past halfway on the third. The bomb on the last is dangerous but Luke Brooks does very well to take it and a strong run from Jacob Liddle earns a penalty and the Tigers get the chance to respond.

Luke Brooks explores the left side and tries to link with Mahe Fonua who can't take it. The Cowboys have it back and grubber for the in-goal area but Fonua is there to clean it up and get into the field of play. Great strength! He then draws a penalty for a strip.

Luke Brooks tries to trap the Cowboys within their own 20 but his kick goes over the dead ball line instead. The crowd beg for a forward pass from Te Maire Martin out of dummy-half but they receive no such reprieve. Fortunately for them the Cowboys come up with an error with TMM fumbling it.

Ethan Lowe earns a penalty with Sauaso Sue pinned for slowing down the play-the-ball. Cowboys begin their set 40 out from the Tigers line. Corey Jensen takes the opening charge before JT spreads to Lowe who is taken 30 out. JT almost drops it but it goes backwards to Michael Morgan who races through the line before being tackled five short of the line. JT goes short to Lowe who comes up with an error.

Luke Brooks finds touch 25 out from the NQL line. Controlled opening set.

Shaun Fensom is off with a possible dislocated elbow.

HALF TIME - Despite their dominance, the Tigers lead 8-6 at the break but it may be a good thing that half time is here as the Cowboys were gaining momentum. Who wins from here? Stay tuned!

Ben Hampton earns a penalty for his side after interference in the play-the-ball and the Cowboys have a full set 40 short of the line. JT goes short to Coen Hess and it is a beauty but he is just taken 15 short of the line. TMM grubbers with the siren looming but the Tigers take it and survive.

A stop in play with the referee sending a last-tackle fumble up to the Bunker to check a knock-on. The long process is over and play resumes.

Mahe Fonua is away and steps inside and out before being taken just past halfway. Benji Marshall now takes the line on before Corey Thompson does the same and catches JT offside. Full set 10 out. They tap. Alex Twal takes the hit-up. Ben Matulino does likewise and is taken five short of the line. A perfectly executed left side raid sees Chris Lawrence find MWZ out wide who goes over but the play is pulled back for a forward pass.

Gavin Cooper is over the line but the Tigers do unbelievably well to stop him. However, despite their efforts, they concede a penalty for offside. Full set Cowboys to come on the line.

Luke Brooks to Malakai Watene-Zelezniak who streaks away and he passes infield for either Mahe Fonua or Brooks but the pass is too big and the Cowboys survive! Now they earn a penalty too.

Corey Thompson earns a penalty and the Tigers march into the Cowboys' half. Benji Marshall grubbers and it is a tricky one for Antonio Winterstein but he handles it and diffuses it in-goal. Dropout to come.

Solid defence from the Cowboys as they force Esan Marsters over the sideline 30 out from the Tigers' line. They get a chance to post the first points. BIG tackle by Chris Lawrence on Michael Morgan off the scrum and he forces the ball loose but it goes backwards and is dived on by the North Queensland side.

JT finds touch two short of the line on the fourth. Both teams are threatening to break through here, with the defence in the middle of the ruck looking particularly vulnerable at times but we are still locked at 0-0 after 13.

Wests bring it out from their own end and now there is a touch from the Cowboys but the home side regain possession and they earn another full set and are just 30 out on the third tackle. Luke Brooks grubbers on the last and it rebounds off Ben Hampton's legs but the centre does well to quickly scoop it up.
