GREEN LIGHTS.. TRY! After quite a few slow-mo replays.. Makinson is ruled to have kept his hand on the ball! The winger has a hat-trick, it was a stunning individual effort, took it behind on the wing, cut inside and made a scoot to the line.

We have a lull currently.. after making that tackle, Jordan Rapana is receiving treatment. He has done some damage to his shoulder and will head off, replaced by Adam Blair.
Makinson was released for his hat-trick, the winger was unselfish.. tried to hand it back to Lomax, but it floated forward. Relief for the Kiwis.

England playing on some high emotion here.. offload it right into the bread basket of Joseph Manu, the Rooster can't snaffle the ball.. and England take a deep breath.

Sam Tomkins is taken late on the kick, some of the forwards rush in to confront the man, referee bellowed play on, so we have a farcical game of 4 v 5 as the ball comes back inside to where the incident was. Sutton finally stops play, and after all that.. we have a PENALTY.
Williams puts a kick right on the head of Rapana, the winger can't leap for it, as Connor knocked it back but the Kiwi winger fell on it to save the danger.
It is a sad end to the night for Clark, he is taken off clutching his ribs. Meanwhile, Johnson piloted through the kick for an eight point lead.

There was a chance for some big defense from England, they had the Kiwis hemmed in.. but a cutting charge from Fisher-Harris gave them room then Marsters gets a reprieve with a strip penalty.
Again, NZ try to offload in their own half.. this time Jake Connor swats it away into the path of Lomax to gobble up. England on the attack.
From the right this time, Johnson looks to make it six the difference. He nailed it right over the black dot, and it is 12-6.
Sublime skill from DWZ opened them up! The fullback bursts onto the ball from a short pass from Nikorima, summed up the options well then flung it deftly to Maumalo to dive over.
Kiwis try to offload it.. get it away on several occasions. On last, Johnson bulleted a ball to Marsters, who can't handle the pass.
Here come the two sides again, England jog out revitalised after that late score.. while New Zealand will rue their string of missed chances. Marsters kicks off.. and the game gets going again.
Connor now with the chance to give England the lead! He strides in confidently, but the kick doesn't match that, swings wide.
Deserved try for the winger! England started going through the middle of the defence.. created some gaps then found their wing. A long, looping from Williams gave Makinson space to dive over.
More enterprise from England now! A short kick on last, is forced to be taken dead by the Kiwi defence. That set looked much more promising from the home side. The halves got much more involved, and cut it back for their forwards. After a slight delay.. here we go again!
George Burgess! The big man is on the charge, he got over the line.. but some wonderful defence from a swarm of Kiwis including Nikorima stop him. Referee Sutton was on the spot, and calls held up.

Probably been Johnson's worst kick of the evening. It dirfted too deep, and goes deep. Makinson quickly brings it back for extra tackle set.
Another error from the England centre. They tried to find space through Makinson on the left but he was swallowed. On a shift again, Gildart can't handle it.
Some applause for Tom Makinson! The winger has been brilliant thus far, he just took another towering kick from Shaun Johnson under some immense pressure. Has been England's best early.
Getting a tap sloppy here. Now the English turn it over, as they tried to spread it left. Kiwis ruck it out.
Hodgson cuts through, but he's taken down inches from the line. New Zealand slow them down enough.. and it is a PENALTY.
Now it all went awry for the Kiwis! They lose it as Tomkins makes the effort play.. quickly followed by a PENALTY for the home side.

Superb from Tommy Makinson! Shaun Johnson skipped outside his man, on the last scooped it to Kevin Proctor, but he is jammed quickly by the winger, who wraps hiim up! Turnover.

Kiwis run the same play, this time to the right; A longish pass put Rapana into space, the Raiders tries to reach out.. and might have done some damage here.
PENALTY NEW ZEALAND! Another piggyback for the Kiwis. They are going fast, and it has trapped the big English forwards thus far.
The man who started the move.. Shaun Johnson has an effort from the left.. the Warriors half strides in, and nails it.
That was textbook! Johnson to Nikorima then an accelerating DWZ that stood up the defence for the score!
Makinson puts one sky-high but taken well by Jordan Rapana. He is swarmed by the defence.. then we have ANOTHER coming together after a whistle. Referee Sutton gives them the standard warning.. and we're back on! Kiwis near halfway.

England again try the spread right.. Johnny Lomax loses it from his fingertips, which Shaun Johnson scoops up and goes the other way. The play is halted though, as the touch judge is in.. and we have a PENALTY against Adam Blair for a late hit.
We finally see our first final tackle kick, Johnny Lomax takes a safe kick. Adam Blair then gives away a cheap penalty.
Good defense from the Kiwis! They stretched it right from the scrum, to McGillvary then switch it back towards Connor but the centre is taken over the sideline.
Oh dear, not the first set New Zealand wanted! Jesse Bromwich drops it, as they try to promote the ball right.
