Almost 4 minutes later, the Premiers were in again. Sitili Tupouniua runs onto a good ball from Nat Butcher and barges over to score on the right side despite 3 defenders trying to halt him. Mitchell converts.

In the 33rd minute, The Bulldogs get a try out of nowhere. A kick on the last to the left side is regathered, they put it through the hands, Keiran Foran held up a pass for William Hopoate, who threw a dummy and squeezed over through the defenders to score in the right corner. Nick Meaney converted.

The Roosters came out in the second half and opened the scoring. Cronk kicked on the last and Daniel Tupou caught it cleanly, flicked a pass out the back to Drew Hutchison, who took to the line, reached out in the tackle and just got the ball down for a try. Mitchell converted.

In the 75th minute they crossed again. Manu drifted left, took on the line and forced his way over for a strong try. Mitchell was unable to convert.

The match ended with the Bulldogs adding to their total. Raymond Faitala-Mariner was awarded a penalty try, when he was chasing through a grubber and got held off the ball by two Roosters players. Meaney converted from in front.

3. Joseph Manu

Manu deputised for the rested Tedesco and looked right at home, while the Roosters attack looked like it didn't miss a beat. He was fantastic, involved in setting up tries and scoring himself.

2. Boyd Cordner

Cordner was committed and powerful in defence, shut down Foran all night and was running great lines.

1. Daniel Tupou

Tupou was big on the edge all night, safe as houses fielding kicks and constantly threatening in attack.
