Blues hold their powder and kick it behind for a dropout. It was a sloppy set from the Blues but got a result from it.
It had turned into a slight grind but Sami drops a towering bomb. Blues right on the attack and get a quick set restart.
Blues are in a bit of interchange trouble for the rest of the contest. Both Corder and now Cam Murray have left with injuries which leaves just Payne Haas on the bench as a forward.

Blues make some inroads again! Junior Paulo steamrolled Jake Friend, found Daniel Tupou, whose pass to James Tedesco is dropped.
Cleary from mid range. He slots it.
GREEN LIGHTS.. TRY! It only took a single look. Cook took the line on, dribbled a kick which came back to him and spun over.
BUNKER TIME! He hasn't had the best start but Damien Cook might have the first four pointer.
Queensland asked plenty of the Blues in that set. They turned them away several times then the final kick is knocked on.
Queensland get a late call for a six again but the Blues hold on. They turn it right back over on first tackle with a terrible pass. Blues on the rack here.
Both sides have tried to open up the contest but the Blues have a kick charged down which forces a turnover on halfway. Maroons with a big chance.

The drums have started to beat and here comes Queensland resplendent in their jersey quickly followed by the current holders New South Wales to a smattering of boos in Adelaide. Let's get it on!
All the pomp and ceremony including a lovely welcome to country (which we saw a little of) is over. One last montage (cause you have to have a montage) then we're ready for kick-off! Will NSW continue their dominance or will the young Queensland side weave some Bennett magic again?
Hi, hello everyone! Rugby league in November? Yes! STATE OF ORIGIN! in Adelaide. We live in some strange times but tonight is a red (I know it's maroon) vs blue contest which people can enjoy. New South Wales have won the past two series and look to get to work on a threepeat against a young Queensland side led by Wayne Bennett. This game is the first to be played at the Adelaide Oval.. so let's settle in for some fun, some relief for a few hours and importantly some rugba leeg.
