Round 4 - CommBank Stadium, Parramatta / Burramattagal
80min

Thanks for being part of the live update. Stay tuned for the match report.

80min

That's full-time and it's a controversial three-point win for the Eels.

79min

The Eels need to hold the ball for 40 seconds to win.

79min

OH NO! A Tom Trbojevic pass has been ruled forward, it set up Reuben Garrick to crash over the line. That is a TOUGH call.

78min

Tom Trbojevic throws a long ball for Taufua as there was an overlap. Ferguson gets in the passing lane and knocks it down forward. About 90 seconds left for the Sea Eagles and a full set to get a try.

76min

Conversion: Sea Eagles
Attempted by Reuben Garrick.

Another sideline conversion attempt, another unsuccessful.

Eels lead Eels 19 - 16 Sea Eagles
76min

Try: Sea Eagles
Scored by Jorge Taufua. Kick to come.

He's got it, great play!

Eels lead Eels 19 - 16 Sea Eagles
76min

We might have another Manly try! The Bunker is reviewing a play where DCE threw wide to Parker and Taufua's wing. Taufua's navigated with strength to the line and grounded it with a few defenders closing in.

76min

The Eels complete their set and force the Sea Eagles back. Not sure where the points are going to come from with Manly if they can do something in the last five minutes.

75min

The Sea Eagles look to Suli to create something from nothing, but nothing happens. On the last DCE's grubber kick gets no result, possession with the Eels.

74min

Waqa Blake has to contest a short kickoff against Tom Trbojevic and he's ruled to have knocked-on.

72min

Field Goal: Eels
Kicked by Mitchell Moses.

Not many saw that coming. A field goal attempt from about 25m out and right in front is successful. A lucky deflection off the left upright seals it. Now he's barking at his team to finish the job.

Eels lead Eels 19 - 12 Sea Eagles
71min

Waqa Blake makes a crunching hit on tackle four. Manly fall apart on the last and the Eels are on the attack the other way.

71min

Both teams have slowed down some as we near full-time. Garrick makes a kick return up to the 40m which is promising for Manly.

70min

Tom Trbojevic chases quickly on a DCE bomb to trap Gutherson on the catch metres from his tryline.

69min

Moses goes high on the last for Taufua. Taufua beats two and makes 15 metres.

68min

The Sea Eagles almost set up Brad Parker to crash over but he was stopped a metre short. A couple of plays later they run on the last through Dylan Walker but his pass is into the back of an Eel.

67min

PENALTY SEA EAGLES. That gets them out of their own half via a kick to touch, now they'll get a set to attack.

66min

Sivo is looking back to his strongest as he's beating two players with brute strength and offloading.

65min

The Sea Eagles bounce back with a set that limits the Eels to their 10m line.

64min

Solid contact from Taupau set the tone for that set from Manly. Oregon Kaufusi has dropped the ball cold before contacting the line.

61min

Smart set led by Moses. Asked questions of the defence up to the last and a grubber kick behind Taufua is picked up by the winger but he is tackled in-goal. Goal-line dropout on the way.

60min

PENALTY EELS. Joel Thompson has made contact with Moses which created an obstruction.

60min

NO TRY. Kaufusi and Fonua-Blake we're battling for the bouncing ball in the in-goal. Kaufusi gets to the ball first but the put down is ruled to be knocked on. Very close to being a try, some might find the no try call unfair.

60min

A slow end to the set is possibly saved by Mahoney who put in a grubber from a few metres out and Kaufusi might have scored. We're off to The Bunker again.

59min

By the last they were still roughly 30m away from the tryline. A high kick for Sivo is taken and a ball to Jennings sets him off on a run that goes about half the length of the field. Pressure's on for Manly.

58min

SIX AGAIN PENALTY. The Eels put on a leg pull and it's punished.

57min

Tom Trbojevic lurks around the right while running with the footy and his short pass at the line to Suli was too hard for the centre to reel in. Knock-on, momentum gone.

56min

Just 38m on the Sea Eagles set but the kick from DCE is slow to be leaned up by Gutherson. Gutherson throws a long wayward pass to Ferguson. Once Ferguson gathers it on the bounce he knocks on in the tackle. Big momentum changer for the Sea Eagles.

54min

The Eels return with a similar set and force Garrick to stay inside his 10m zone.

53min

An average set from Manly and the kick on the last gets hit by the defence and gives the Eels good field position.

53min

Conversion: Sea Eagles
Kicked by Reuben Garrick.

From the position of just closer to the posts than the sideline, Garrick's back on track.

Eels lead Eels 18 - 12 Sea Eagles
51min

Try: Sea Eagles
Scored by Dylan Walker. Kick to come.

Dylan Walker powered through two cover defenders to keep the ball off the ground and planted it on the tryline.

Eels lead Eels 18 - 10 Sea Eagles
51min

We're going to The Bunker again for a possible Dylan Walker try. On the last he takes the line on and the question is whether the grounding he made was a double movement.

50min

Gutherson is involved again, this time with a chip and chase on the last which he does gather but the ball to Moses is put down forward.

49min

The Sea Eagles bounce back to get an attacking kick away inside within 30m of the tryline. Gutherson gets up high and returns the ball strong to repel Manly.

48min

Parramatta was set up to attack on the fourth and fifth. Dylan Brown was indecisive then took the line on. Moses puts in a fifth-tackle grubber that goes dead. Seven tackle set here now for the Sea Eagles.

47min

The best defensive set of the night for the Eels. They limit Manly to 24m on five tackles and it gets them some excellent field position.

46min

Moses tests Tom Trbojevic with a bomb to diffuse, which he does take in the field of play with a bit of pressure.

45min

The Sea Eagles get up to halfway on tackle four and kick for Gutherson and Sivo in the corner.

44min

Conversion: Sea Eagles
Attempted by Reuben Garrick.

From the left touchline Garrick's was far off getting an extra two points.

Eels lead Eels 18 - 6 Sea Eagles
43min

Try: Sea Eagles
Scored by Jorge Taufua. Kick to come.

The grounding is cleared and Taufua gets a quick hit-back for the Sea Eagles.

Eels lead Eels 18 - 6 Sea Eagles
43min

Manly might have their first try of the night. From the scrum the play's gone to Taufua and he's fought his way to the line, the grounding is being reviewed by The Bunker.

42min

On a routine hit-up Sivo's dropped the ball before the line.

41min

Conversion: Eels
Kicked by Mitchell Moses.

From right in front, it's good.

Eels lead Eels 18 - 2 Sea Eagles
41min

Try: Eels
Scored by Kane Evans. Kick to come.

The front rower got feed by Mahoney out of dummy half and between a few Manly players he got the ball down on the line, just.

Eels lead Eels 16 - 2 Sea Eagles
41min

Sharks v Cowboys update: All six Sharks players who failed their first temperature test tonight have all been later cleared to play.

41min

Worst start for the Sea Eagles. They've given up possession in the first 20 seconds and the Eels immediately attack. A couple of plays later Kane Evans has crashed over and the potential try is sent to the Bunker to look at.

40min

Anyway, we're back underway for the second half!

40min

Matt Moylan has been cleared to play, he has confirmed in an interview live on Fox League. Moylan is unsure how many teammates are in a similar situation.

40min

Yvonne Sampson suggests Shaun Johnson is also one of the players part of the group of six.

40min

Fox League reports all six players are Sharks players. Apparently one of those players is Matt Moylan. Apparently they have time to be retested to be compliant.

40min

BREAKING NEWS: Six players in the upcoming Cowboys v Sharks match have not passed the temperature test, according to Fox League.

39min

Conversion: Eels
Attempted by Mitchell Moses.

It's a miss from the same spot as the earlier try conversion attempt and that's half-time.

Eels lead Eels 12 - 2 Sea Eagles
39min

Try: Eels
Scored by Dylan Brown. Kick to come.

A shift left gets the ball in Sivo's hands in the centre position. He pokes his head through the line and passes for Dylan Brown on the wing to stroll over for a try.

Eels lead Eels 12 - 2 Sea Eagles
39min

Ryan Matterson finds a big gap near the tryline and almost breaks through it. An offload happens and a knock-on from the Sea Eagles grants them another set within a minute of half-time.

39min

An unforced error from Tom Trbojevic shortly after the set restart.

38min

SIX AGAIN PENALTY. Garrick puts in a strong run on tackle two and Brown was caught too long at the play the ball.

37min

Paseka puts in a strong run on tackle four. With the Eels backpedalling on the last they were indecisive on the last and a kick to Garrick's wing is defuse eventually by Parramatta.

35min

The Eels use a full set this time. Moses on the last surprises with a chip and chase. He regathers the ball but the pass while being tackled has travelled forward. Play is stopped and the Sea Eagles survive.

34min

Not much doing for Manly on that set. Suli needed someone to offload to on the fourth. On the last DCE gets caught with the ball as the attack broke down close to the tryline.

33min

PENALTY SEA EAGLES. Kane Evans penalised for an illegal strip. This gets the Sea Eagles out of their own half.

32min

Fast set for the Eels. Once again they kick on the fourth tackle and they've trapped the Sea Eagles within their 10m zone. These tactics from Parramatta are working well.

31min

Conversion: Eels
Kicked by Mitchell Moses.

From the left sideline Moses' golf swing kicking motion is still working, as this kick deflects off the right upright and in.

Eels lead Eels 8 - 2 Sea Eagles
30min

Try: Eels
Scored by Michael Jennings. Kick to come.

We have our first try! Brown and Gutherson combine to create an overlap for Maika Sivo. Sivo is tackled by Tom Trbojevic but an offload to Michael Jennings is too much for the defence.

Eels lead Eels 6 - 2 Sea Eagles
29min

Just 25m on the set for the Sea Eagles, momentum is back with Parramatta.

29min

The Eels use just three tackles then kick long and chase to trap the Sea Eagles just metres out from their tryline. Great play.

28min

Something different from Manly there. DCE offloads on tackle four, Tom Trbojevic picks it up on the bounce and kicks to the corner for Garrick. The kick is a decent option but it's quickly dead in goal.

27min

The Sea Eagles are back on the attack and Tom Trbojevic gets Sironen throw the line and is stopped one-on-one by Gutherson. On the last DCE's grubber kick is stopped by Moses' foot and bounces 20m forward. The last bounce wasn't favourable, Moses dives on it and knocks on in the process. A friendly bounce could have meant a runaway Moses try.

23min

17min

PENALTY SEA EAGLES. The Eels were inside the 10 when chasing up on an early tackle.

17min

The penalty doesn't cost the Sea Eagles much there, just some field position.

16min

SIX AGAIN PENALTY. The Eels get an advantage of another set added on just a couple of tackles after the restart.

16min

Penalty Goal: Eels

It's the Sea Eagles kicking off and we're underway with footy friendly conditions at Bankwest Stadium.

Hello and welcome to this round four match between the Parramatta Eels and Manly Sea Eagles at Bankwest Stadium. This fixture has been dubbed the match of the round and it's hard to argue given the talent on display and the form they have. Parramatta has won eight of their last 10 matches against the Sea Eagles, however tonight looms as a watershed moment for the Eels. Last season the Eels didn't have a great record when playing the top teams and could not find much consistency following a win. Can they address that in season 2020 starting tonight? Will the Trbojevic brothers have the same amount of time and space as last week to take the Sea Eagles over the top? Looking forward to seeing these top forward packs collide. Kickoff is set for 5:30pm.
