The Sydney Roosters have flexed their attacking muscles in an emphatic 40-6 win over the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
Posting 40 points for the second straight week, James Tedesco and Brett Morris continued their impressive try-scoring feats, crossing for five tries combined, in a match played before a committed crowd of 6,107 who braved rain-affected conditions.
Picking right up from their respective hat-tricks last week, Morris and Tedesco (6th minute) combined for the opening try after Morris kicked in-field for his fullback to score.
Missing an opportunity to collect one of his own minutes later only for his hands to fail him, Morris (12th minute) made amends with a dashing display of speed and footwork that left the Tigers' left edge gasping for answers.
The home side posted a much-needed response through Jacob Liddle (17th minute), but that was as close as it got with the visitors restoring a 12-point margin after Sitili Tupouniua (33rd minute) powered over the top of Luke Brooks - playing his 150th appearance for the club - minutes before halftime.
Securing the victory with a blistering opening to the second half, two brilliant piece of play from Luke Keary allowed Morris (46th minute) and Tedesco (49th minute) to claim their second tries of the afternoon.
Fletcher Baker, a 21-year-old Muswellbrook junior, capped his NRL debut with a try (68th minute) after Lindsay Collins made a bullocking run through the middle.
Completing his second hat-trick in as many weeks, Morris (74th minute) finished off a beautiful exchange featuring a Keary kick and passes from Joseph Manu and Collins.
Next week, the Tigers travel to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon to take on the Knights, while the Roosters face the Rabbitohs at Stadium Australia on Friday evening.
