Thanks for joining me for the first match of an action packed Sunday. Stay with us here at League Unlimited as we bring you all the action of the remaining two fixtures of the day. But first, we've got the blockbuster between the Penrith Panthers and the Melbourne Storm
Croker finishes the afternoon with a perfect record from the kicking tee
Guler scores a late consolation try for the Raiders as he breaks the line with some nice footwork and proves too strong for Connor Watson to stop. The Knights will be disappointed with conceding a try so late in the match
Another Canberra error as Whitehead loses the ball in the tackle
Barnett knocks the ball on as he attempted to strip Emre Guler
Croker makes no error again as he makes it three from three
Great work from Jack Wighton who got himself into open space before passing to Hudson Young who did enough to evade Best's tackle attempt as he scores his first of the afternoon
Conversion from Clifford is successful
The Knights strike with their first play from the scrum as Clifford wraps around the back of the scrum and pops up on the left as he passes it to Ponga who threw a dummy and went himself as he broke through the line and scored the Knights sixth try of the afternoon
It keeps getting worse for the Raiders as they drop yet another ball in a tackle
The Knights finally make an error down this left edge as Ponga tries to replicate the most recent try but this time passes the ball too far forwards as it sails over the sideline
Another penalty headed to the Knights for crowding, it just doesn't seem to be the Raiders afternoon
Clifford's attempt is unsuccessful as he hooks it to far across the face of the goal
Tuala score his third to secure his first NRL hattrick! The Knights attack down that left side as they have so this match and once again it provides points as Kalyn Ponga skips onto the outside of his man before throwing a cut out ball across Best which finds Tuala in space and he does a great job to ground the ball
The Raiders continue their undisciplined performance as they drop the ball once again
The big fella David Klemmer looked certain to score his first try since 2017 but the bunker deemed that he grounded the ball short of the try line
Rapana fails to defuse Clifford's bomb, could've arguably been a penalty to the Raiders for tackling in mid-air but that's not the case and the Knights have another great chance
The Knights earn a penalty right in front of the goals and they make the decision to go for the two, taking the lead back out to 12 points courtesy of Clifford's successful penalty goal
Croker converts the try as the Raiders now trail by 10
The Raiders needed to strike first and that's exactly what they did. Queensland front rower Josh Papali'i just tucks it under his arm and beats David Klemmer easily with some nice foot work to score next to the uprights
Error from Sauaso Sue as he prepared to offload the football but lost the ball in the process
Early penalty to the Knights after another high tackle from the Raiders
The Knights get the second half underway here at Suncorp Stadium. The Raiders have a lot of work to do
The Raiders should be disappointed with that half, they had plenty of chances to keep the ball in the Knights half but failed to do so. The Knights on the other hand scored an important try heading into the break to force the Raiders to score three times if they are to make a comeback
Clifford's kick misses to the right as the Knights lead by 16 as they head into the half-time break
Tuala grabs his second for the Knights at a crucial stage of the match. The game was waiting for one of these sides to step up late in the first half and it started with a great carry from Jake Clifford who broke the line and found an offload for Ponga who drifted wide and isolated Bradman Best who was too much to handle for the Raiders defence
The Raiders haven't helped themselves in the first half and once again it was an error that undid their work. Jarrod Croker spills the ball as he is crunched by his opposite number
Best spills the ball just short of the halfway line. Again the Raiders have a chance here to grab some points late in the first half
Great patience from Kalyn Ponga there as he allows Wighton's kick to bunch and shielded the ball as it slowly travelled over the dead ball line
Well done by Jordan Rapana as he allows Clifford's grubber to roll dead despite incoming pressure from the Knights players. Good chance for the Raiders to set a platform for the remainder of the first half.
Penalty to the Knights for a crusher tackle on Hymel Hunt. The Raiders once again releasing the pressure on the Knights
Unfortunately for the Knights, Jayden Brailey will have to leave the field after suffering a concussion as he attempted to tackle Josh Papali'i
Croker makes no issues as he reduces the deficit to 12 points
The Raiders grab one break at an important time of the match. Harley Smith-Shields finishes brilliantly in the corner as Jordan Rapana held the ball up for a second which committed the Knights defence, freeing up space for Smith-Shields
A bit of luck goes Clifford's way as his shot hits the near post and still manages to go in for two points
The Knights add their third try after some poor football at the other end of the field from the Raiders. This time it's Kurt Mann who gets on the scoresheet as he rises to collect a Jake Clifford bomb and grounds the ball as he lands
Penalty to the Knights courtesy of Jack Wighton for a high tackle. All the pressure that the Raiders had mounted is now gone
Harawira-Naera loses the ball in great field position as he failed to hold onto it as he entered a collision with the Knights' defenders
Penalty goes the Raiders way just in front of the Knights try line as Tyson Frizell prevented Elliott Whitehead from having a clean run at the ball
Clifford once again makes no errors
The Knights are up for the contest today and this left edge looks dangerous. They once again explore this avenue and Best is the man who's successful on this occasion as he busts his way through a tackle to score
Clifford's kick is perfect as the Knights lead by 6
And just like that the Newcastle Knights open the scoring this afternoon after a nice shift on the left hand side gave Tuala space to run into. He proceeded to break multiple tackles as he ended up being too hard to stop as the Knights take the lead
Canberra get us underway here in Brisbane
Welcome to Suncorp Stadium on a superb day here in Brisbane as we bring you the clash between the Newcastle Knights and the Canberra Raiders. A brilliant way to kick-off your Sunday here at League Unlimited after a good morning by the Australians in the pool at the Olympics
