ALMOST! Not much happening in that set. Then a chip on the last, a flick pass backwards. Corey Waddell through the middle and he is just stopped short! The Bulldogs then drag the Tigers back in-goal. Dropout.

Quick hands on the right edge and then the ball goes back inside from Nick Meaney to Will Hopoate who finds Jake Averillo and he burrows over.

HALF TIME - Bulldogs take a 16-0 lead into the break.

The Tigers play at the kick on the last and David Nofoaluma knocks it on trying to retrieve the ball. More pressure coming.

Jacob Liddle - so close! The Tigers find something on the left after an offload and then spin it back to the middle, Liddle beats a few tackles and is JUST held up. Nothing comes of it though as Jock Madden kicks it dead.

Thomas Mikaele has gone off injured after a strong stint where he almost ran 100 metres. Now an issue for Luciano Leilua who fell awkwardly in a tackle. Time stopped with Tigers 10 out on the last.

Now a penalty for the Dogs - can they hold onto it?
Zac Cini offloads for David Nofoaluma who drifts back inside and kicks but the Bulldogs come up with it. A truly horrible three sets from the Tigers who offered nothing in attack.
Luke Brooks takes on the line and goes over but is held up.
Two set restarts on the fourth tackle - surely the Dogs concede here. A brilliant tackle denies Luciano Leilua who looked certain to crash over. Outside of a dangerous Zac Cini offload for Shawn Blore it is the only other time the Tigers have looked likely to score.
But the Bulldogs are eventually going to crack if they keep this up... Jake Averillo now drops it near halfway.
A really uninspiring set from the Tigers ends with Nick Meaney easily handling a Luke Brooks bomb. Not much fluency or speed to what the Tigers are doing.
A sloppy start as Dylan Napa drops the ball to hand possession back to the Tigers on their own 30.

Late changes to the spine see Zac Cini start at fullback while Jake Averillo replaces Kyle Flanagan in the halves.
The Bulldogs though showed plenty of fight last week against Manly and should be right up for this one.
In all seriousness though this one means a fair bit for the Tigers in particular. The club has already started its end-of-year review and it would be far from ideal to end the season with a loss to the lowly Bulldogs.
So - the regular season comes to a close - and what a way to do it - with the Tigers and Bulldogs locked in for a battle of the NRL heavyweights.
