A huge penalty as Ray Stone is pinged for a cannonball tackle on Nicho Hynes. Sharks 30 out.

A clearing kick on the last, Connor Tracey brings it up to the 30. This is the second-last set for Cronulla you'd think.

Again - a chance goes begging. Nicho Hynes spots a hole in the middle and throws it back inside... but Reed Mahoney takes the ball.

Mitchell Moses kicks it dead. Big chance here for Sharks. Seven-tackle set, four minutes left.

On the last - they almost go in. Nicho Hynes cuts out Bailey Simonsson who rushed in. Siosifa Talakai charges towards the line but they can't find the draw and pass on that edge as he holds onto the ball and is tackled. Turnover close to the line.

ALMOST. Reed Mahoney sneaks through and pops a pass for Mitchell Moses but it is forward.

Cameron McInnes collects Waqa Blake high. Penalty. Eels with a chance to put this to bed.

A cheeky kick from Nicho Hynes back down the middle but Parra have it covered and still lead 16-12.

Parra drop it and the Sharks are on halfway on the second.

Braden Hamlin-Uele - looks like he is going to charge over but Clinton Gutherson does incredibly well to stop him with some help. The Sharks prop drops it.

A pretty uneventful set and then the Nicho Hynes kick, which offered little threat, is followed up by a terrible kick chase and Waqa Blake runs 20 metres to get the set off to a strong start.

Dylan Brown busts through the line temporarily in concerning signs for the Cronulla defence. Isaiah Papali'i penalised for tackling William Kennedy in the air. A big boost for the Sharks given the Eels had all the running.

A relieving penalty to help Cronulla out of its own end and the Sharks have a chance to hit back. A dangerous right-side raid sees Jesse Ramien charge down to the Parra 10.

Teig Wilton takes Mitchell Moses and is penalised. Eels with a chance to take the lead. They will go for goal.

Nicho Hynes running sideways and then he sneaks through a hole and has open space in front of him but is just ankle-tapped by Mitchell Moses. Potential try-saver there with support on the inside. Standard kick on the last and Parra survive.

Another penalty, this one right in front of the posts. Parramatta will level it up.

Jesse Ramien with an extra effort on Clinton Gutherson and he is penalised.

Clinton Gutherson forces the dropout. Will be interesting to see how the new-look Sharks edge works without Ronaldo Mulitalo out there.

UPDATE - Fox League's Jake Duke reveals Ronaldo Mulitalo is out for the game with a head knock.

Nicho Hynes, meanwhile, rushes a kick on the last for Cronulla and Parramatta is on their 40 on the second.

Isaiah Papali'i and Nathan Brown with some strong runs and Parramatta is 40 out on the last. Solid kick pressure on the last as Mitchell Moses goes high for William Kennedy, who fields it without trouble.

Second half is underway!

Nicho Hynes settles it down and finds touch 20 out.

Another repeat set after the Sharks go left and Sione Katoa flies in to shut down a possible two-on-one. Makahesi Makatoa threatens but three Sharks take him down and then the ball goes back left and Clinton Gutherson makes an error. Huge defensive effort.

A six-again has Parra deep in Cronulla territory. A few standard hit-ups so far... nothing threatening. That is until Dylan Brown takes the line on and almost gets through. Aiden Tolman plays at the kick on the last and the Eels get a repeat set.

Andrew Fifita puts the ball down.

William Kennedy lets the kick on the last bounce and Tom Opacic has a chance to scoop it up and do something for Parramatta but drops the ball. He is offside anyway. Penalty Sharks who start their set near halfway.

Matt Moylan takes on the line, flicks the pass and Nicho Hynes kicks and then chases to trap Clinton Gutherson in-goal. Dropout coming. It goes 60, Andrew Fifita brings it over halfway.

Ronaldo Mulitalo with enough work in defence to force Bailey Simonsson into grounding it dead. No try.

On the last tackle - Parra spin it right and Moses goes long to Simonsson - the try is given initially but it looks like he has grounded it on the line and it is going to the Bunker.

Mitchell Moses kicks on the last, it is touched by the Sharks before trickling dead. Dropout coming.

Nicho Hynes kicks from inside the 40. Poor positioning from the Eels, who let it bounce and are now inside their 20. If Clinton Gutherson was there to take it on the full they'd be well up field by now but a penalty for offside means it doesn't matter now.

Mitchell Moses kicks back inside on the last and it beats William Kennedy but Nicho Hynes cleans it up. Sharks working it up from inside their 20.

And Nicho Hynes does the same with a hospital pass for Briton Nikora who drops it.

Dylan Brown with a poor ball to Shaun Lane who had two Sharks on him and he drops it.

A relieving penalty and the Eels can hit back.

Cronulla look threatening down the right edge and William Kennedy tries to get the pass away to Sione Katoa but the ball spills out forward. Eels' ball on their own 10.

The Eels not able to throw much at the Sharks in that set outside of a Gutherson run and then compound it by giving away a penalty.

A big man in space! Braden Hamlin-Uele charges through the middle, is initially tackled by Oregon Kaufusi before breaking away again and is taken 10 out. Big chance here on the last but Matt Moylan bungles the kick. Waqa Blake has it and Parra survive.

Parra go right to Bailey Simonsson who kicks back inside and there are three chasers but William Kennedy traps the ball, albeit awkwardly, with his foot and then a relieving penalty soon after helps the Sharks out of their own end.

Now a six-again call and the Sharks have a big chance to put up the first points of the game. Nicho Hynes threatens but drops the ball. Clinton Gutherson carries it over the 20.

Mitchell Moses chips the ball towards Bailey Simonsson's wing. Ronaldo Mulitalo does very well to take it and is tackled high. Relieving penalty to Cronulla.

A penalty now and the Eels are 20 out.

Nicho Hynes to Connor Tracey down the left edge and the speedster finds space. Sharks 40 out. Nicho Hynes kicks it low. Clinton Gutherson fields it awkwardly. He starts the set 10 out from the Parra line.

Ronaldo Mulitalo fumbles the Mitchell Moses bomb and it is on the ground. Oregon Kaufusi gets there first and goes for the try but appears to have dropped it himself. The Mulitalo drop went backwards though, so Sharks ball and a big sigh of relief.

Sharks well on top but Nicho Hynes drops the ball and that could turn things for Parra.

Like clockwork, Mitchell Moses kicks from inside his 40 and Cronulla again get a chance to bring the ball up as the Eels chasers struggle to get down the field. They start this set around the 40 after a strong run from William Kennedy.

Nicho Hynes again sends it to the air on the last and Waqa Blake has it but again it is on the 10-metre mark. Sharks with plenty of energy early.

Cronulla winning the positional battle early with Mitchell Moses again forced to kick from inside the 40. Ronaldo Mulitalo fields it and brings the ball up past the 20.

Nicho Hynes completes with a bomb and Clinton Gutherson catches it but is taken down by a strong Sharks kick chase.

Eels make it only to their 40 on the first set. Mitchell Moses clears the kick and Cronulla work it of its end.
