Match Overview

Mitchell Moses had a party against the Dragons, with his kicking, passing and running games all used to their full ability to tear the opposition defence apart and lead the Eels to a big 48-14 victory at Commbank Stadium.

Play settled for a while before the Dragons hit back when Aaron Woods dished a ball at the line to Francis Molo who broke through the middle, before getting a stunning offload to Ben Hunt. Hunt then kicked off the side of his boot, intentionally and found Jack Bird who regathered and fell over the line to score near the posts. Lomax added the extras.

Lomax added a penalty goal after the halftime siren sounded to reduce the deficit to just 4 points.

The Second half saw Parramatta run away with the game in a dominant 40 minute display. The ball dribbled into the Dragons ingoal where Mbye failed to ground the ball, but Nathan Brown didn't. Moses converted.

In the 50th minute Moses received an offload, stepped the defence and darted through a gap, before kicking back towards the posts where Reed Mahoney got a lovely bounce and he scored under the posts. Moses converted from in front.

In the set after the restart Viliami Penisini made a break down the right sideline before linking with Clint Gutherson in support and the Eels custodian raced away to score. Moses converted from out wide.

On the hour and the Dragons on the attack, Waqa Blake took an intercept and raced 90 metres to score under the posts. Moses again converted.

The Eels crossed again in the 69th minute when Dylan brown drifted right before lobbing a beautiful long ball over the top to Blake who dived over in the corner to score. Moses nailed the sideline conversion.

The Dragons improved their score in the 70th minute when Tariq Sims received a crash ball as the lead runner and reached out to score. Lomax converted.

Parramatta then produced some magic in the 76th minute when Nathan brown offloaded brilliantly to Bryce Cartwright who caught and then flicked an amazing ball out the back to Moses who dived over in the right corner. Moses converted his try from the sideline.
