FULL TIME - Bunnies too good 24-12.
Bird slots it.
The Rabbitohs make a mess of the kick-off and the Dragons get it back and Su'A then charges over against his former team. Great ball from Talatau Amone.
24-6 now.
Ilias with a perfect ball for Milne who runs the perfect line to score!
Moses Suli now puts down a pass from Talatau Amone.
Dragons get it off the short dropout.
Lachlan Ilias forces a dropout - he's been brilliant tonight.
Dragons can't get it 10 metres off the restart. Penalty Souths.
Off the post and in!
Lachlan Ilias with a chip ahead for Blake Taaffe who is streaming through. The Dragons clean it up but Mikaele Ravalawa drops it and Jack Bird picks it up in an offside position. Taaffe will shoot for two.
And repeat. Jaydn Su'A now drops the ball inside the South Sydney half. Someone save me.
There were go... another error. This one from Taane Milne. A brief flash of Cody Walker's best to put Milne away but the Rabbitohs five-eighth has been very quiet tonight.
And add another error... might just ctrl+c that phrase because it looks like it will come in handy here. Damien Cook still most likely to open this up again.
And another error, this one from South Sydney, who have shown glimpses but still not been near their best either.
Rabbitohs 30 out.
Challenge unsuccessful.
Now Moses Suli with an error in the play-the-ball. He immediately demands it is challenged and will get his wish.
Sloppy play here with Ben Hunt and Cody Walker both dropping the ball. Souths the far better team tonight but not showing it on the scoreboard.
Cameron Murray cruises under the posts but it is called back for an obstruction, with Tevita Tatola ruled to have denied Talatau Amone a fair chance at making a tackle.
Damien Cook jumps out of dummy-half and threatens again before a six-again is ruled.
Ben Hunt short to Tariq Sims who drops it in the tackle of Lachlan Ilias and Campbell Graham.
A bit of luck for the Dragons but you make your own luck. Jack Bird keeps the ball alive on the 30-metre mark after the last-tackle play breaks down, Moses Suli kicks ahead. It goes off a Rabbitoh's legs and into another Bunnies player's hands in an offside position. Dragons ball 10 out.
The Dragons spill it and the Bunnies go right back on the attack but Cameron Murray drops the ball.
Bunnies up 16-6 now.
And Lachlan Ilias was in there too - through the hands, with no hiccups - just perfectly executed.
That was slick! The Bunnies go right - Cameron Murray to Keaon Koloamatangi to Blake Taaffe to Campbell Graham - beautiful stuff.
Zac Lomax with an error near the Dragons 20 and the Rabbitohs get a chance to hit right back.
10-6 now.
Ben Hunt passed to no-one as the play broke down mid-set but the Dragons recover and now get on the board as Moses Mbye dummies, beats Keaon Koloamatangi and scores.
Ben Hunt with a clever kick and he forces a dropout.
Tariq Sims drops the ball in a tackle of Campbell Graham but makes up for it to help drag Josh Mansour into touch a few players later.
A bit of razzle dazzle on the last from the Dragons with a miracle ball from Mathew Feagai putting Jack Bird down the sideline before the five-eighth kicked back inside. Feagai has had no problems making metres and is making quite the statement in keeping his spot over Cody Ramsey on the wing.
We are back underway for the second half nonetheless.
UPDATE - Fox League's James Hooper reporting that Latrell Mitchell complained about the state of the ground when coming off with a hamstring issue. Accor Stadium hosted a concern last week and a quarter of the turf has been laid down again for today's game.
HALF TIME - That will be it at the break. Outside of that Lomax break, the Dragons have barely fired a shot in attack and looked quite disorganised. The Rabbitohs have also looked a bit clunky at times but most threatening when Damien Cook has been running the ball out of dummy-half. Some more good signs from halfback Lachlan Ilias too when he ran the ball.
Taaffe makes it 10-0.
Damien Cook and Lachlan Ilias with some slicing runs and the momentum ends with Keaon Koloamatangi forcing his way over!
Just not doing things quick enough in attack there. Andrew McCullough had a chance off a quick Jaydn Su'A play-the-ball but was a bit too slow to pounce. Moses Mbye then fired a ball to Mathew Feagai on the wing after Josh Mansour came in but Souths scramble well. Nothing comes of the set and then the Dragons concede a penalty.
Mathew Feagai then breaks away down the left edge before being taken down by Josh Mansour. Two-straight set restarts and the Dragons have a big chance to level the scores here, 10 out.
Right on cue - Damien Cook weaves in and out of a few tackles and the Bunnies are 10 out but an ordinary kick from Cody Walker on the last relieves pressure on the Dragons.
Really scrappy affair as it stands. Cody Walker and Lachlan Ilias relatively quiet with Damien Cook and Cameron Murray bringing the spark through the middle. The Dragons are also hardly threatening, although they have found a few half-chances on the edges.
The Dragons haven't really threatened in this game but to their credit, they have tightened up the defence through the middle and still only trail 4-0.
Nothing much in that set from the Dragons. They go left to Mathew Feagai on the last who puts a short grubber through but it is too short and the Bunnies have it. They needed a repeat set there to try build some pressure.
Dragons finding a few chances but lacking execution. A big chance here for the Rabbitohs to extend their lead with a penalty blown but they can't find touch! Relief for the away side here at Accor Stadium.
UDPATE - Latrell Mitchell out for the game with a hamstring issue.
An update on Latrell Mitchell - it is a hamstring problem according to Fox League's James Hooper.
Zac Lomax makes a break down the right edge and all they have to do is draw and pass but the Dragons centre decides to throw a no-looker and the ball goes to ground with Jack Bird in support.
Lachlan Ilias with the deft kick and Campbell Graham pounces - we are checking for a try here. Just an issue with the grounding. And it is not a try.
Drama for the Rabbitohs as Latrell Mitchell is forced from the field with an injury.
And they have done just that - Jack Bird forcing the dropout.
Campbell Graham penalised for a strip and the Dragons have a chance to hit back or at least camp themselves down the South Sydney end with a repeat set. They are 40 out.
The Rabbitohs finding big metres through the middle and are 10 out now - Lachlan Ilias down the right side, he could have dug into the line a bit more to open up space as the play ends a bit too sideways and the Dragons slide across to shut it down and survive.
A shocker off the boot and it sprays wide.
Damien Cook again! He goes through the middle after a Jai Arrow offload and races away, then goes to the right and Campbell Graham extends the arm to link with Latrell Mitchell who scores in the corner!
Ben Hunt to the air in an attacking kick and Zac Lomax jumps for it but knocks it forward.
A relieving penalty though sees the Dragons gifted a chance to get out of their own end. They find touch over their own 30.
Cameron Murray with a strong run, quick play-the-ball and Damien Cook jumps out of dummy-half with the first real opportunity of the game. The Dragons shut him down and now are trapped inside their own 20 after the final tackle kick.
An early fumble from Latrell Mitchell on the kick from Andrew McCullough but it went backwards. Bunnies inside their 20 working it out.
A very standard opening to this one, with the Bunnies sending a long kick on the last and making the Dragons work it out of their end. Jaydn Su'A with a few solid runs early against this former side.
A clearing kick on the last from Ben Hunt and the Rabbits start their first set of the night on their 20. Rain already starting to fall.
We are underway here at ANZ Stadium. Dragons with first use of the ball.
Kick-off shortly.
The Rabbitohs are not without their own problems, although young halfback Lachlan Ilias showed glimpses of his potential last week against Penrith.
No changes for either side, although it will be interesting to see how Moses Mbye and Jack Bird perform given Dragons coach Anthony Griffin caused a stir by bringing both in for young guns Talatau Amone and Tyrell Sloan. Amone is still on the bench though and could have a chance to press his claims for a recall into the starting side.
