FULL TIME - In their first game since sacking Justin Holbrook, it is an upset in the Queensland derby as the Titans take a thrilling win!

Right... so usually that's a penalty but Patrick Carrigan faces nothing for what looked to be a potential hip-drop tackle on David Fifita who thankfully looks to be OK.

Brisbane don't go anywhere in that set. A great clearing kick from Adam Reynolds but an even better kick return from Phillip Sami and the Titans have momentum.

A huge set in defence coming here as the Broncos get a six-again call in their favour and spread it immediately, with Patrick Carrigan firing the ball out left but Tanah Boyd has it. He is taken straight into touch though. Brisbane ball again, 10 out.

And we have another close call! Tanah Boyd with the kick and Corey Oates drops it, with Aaron Schoupp on the spot to score... but the Bunker rules Phillip Sami touched the ball.

That was far too easy as Reece Walsh puts Kotoni Staggs through a gaping hole and the Broncos fullback is in support to score! But it is going to come back, the Bunker interferes and rules David Fifita was obstructed in the lead-up, penalty Titans.

Alofiana Khan-Pereira is flipped in a tackle by Kobe Hetherington and a penalty sees the Titans start a new set beyond halfway.

Tanah Boyd does brilliantly to fall on an Adam Reynolds kick and hold onto the ball with Broncos attackers streaming through. Titans ball and they're working it out from inside their own half. Early ball to Alofiana Khan-Pereira who kicks it late - perhaps too late as he could've had a try if he chipped it over Reece Walsh earlier. Quick hands from Reece Walsh to Selwyn Cobbo threatens to spark something on the right edge but a brilliant one-on-one effort from Kieran Foran shuts it down. The Titans then get the ball back off a shallow kick from Adam Reynolds.

The Bunker confirms that, Broncos survive.

The penalty and now a six-again has the Titans 10 out with another chance to score the first points of the game. Sam Verrills darts out of dummy-half but looks to have dropped it trying to score.

Adam Reynolds with the early kick on the 3rd tackle... it looks too heavy but Reece Walsh bats it back into the field of play and Ezra Mam grounds it. But it's sent up no try - the Broncos fullback is offside!

Ezra Mam tries to thread the needle on the last and it comes off Titans' legs... six again! 20 out!

Again nothing really comes of that set as Selwyn Cobbo fields the last-tackle kick with ease. Look for the Broncos to score off this seven-tackle set... just have a feeling.

Tough one there for the Titans. A six-again is called and Isaac Liu drops the ball the next play. Broncos ball just near halfway.

A long looping ball and Alofiana Khan-Pereira races away and the Titans are 20 out. Nothing comes of it though as Kieran Foran is caught on the last.

Brendan Piakura with a cheap error. Titans survive and start this new set on their own 20.

ANOTHER CHANCE! Titans fill-in skipper AJ Brimson uses his speed to get on the outside but heavy contact from Herbie Farnworth forces the error.

CHANCE! Kieran Foran looks to spread it to Brian Kelly inside the Titans' own half and Selwyn Cobbo reads it perfectly, with an intercept and try there for the taking but he puts it down.

A nice shift right ends with Aaron Schoupp near halfway before Tanah Boyd sends it high to Selwyn Cobbo who fields the ball on his own 20.

A great kick from Adam Reynolds into the sun and Phillip Sami does well to take it cleanly but the Gold Coast are trapped inside their own 20 early in this set.

Tanah Boyd to Joe Stimson and the Broncos defence rushes up to force an error.

The Titans, on the other hand, go nowhere in this set and Tanah Boyd is forced to clear it from inside the 30 but Payne Haas is penalised for a late shot on the kicker. Ill-discipline gifts the Titans a full set 20 out.

A really positive start from Brisbane who shift it early, find some space and then Billy Walters takes them on on the last tackle and is JUST pulled up short of the try line. What a start! Danger signs for the Titans.

For what it's worth, I've got the Broncos having far too much firepower in this one and taking a high-scoring game 42-22.
