An error from Liam Martin after a penalty was awarded to Penrith gifts possession to the Gold Coast and the Titans strike immediately. AJ Brimson, playing fullback, with a beautiful ball as Thomas Jenkins had come and Alofiana Khan-Pereira flies to score.

HALF TIME - The Panthers made a shaky start but have recovered to take a 22-6 lead at halftime. A huge performance from fullback Dylan Edwards, who has 144 run metres, a try, one linebreak assist and four tackle busts.

Just too good. Tyrone Peachey potentially bombs a try on the left edge as he doesn't pass to an unmarked Sunia Turuva after Penrith strip the Gold Coast for numbers. The Panthers spin it right on the last though and Stephen Crichton brilliant kicks it for Thomas Jenkins in the corner.
A missed opportunity for the Titans as Zac Hosking can't ground the grubber in-goal, Jaimin Jolliffe misses a chance to score as Lindsay Smith grounds it. Penrith now get it off the short dropout.

David Fifita saves a certain try as Nathan Cleary takes the line on. Jarome Luai then is forced to kick on the last and it is fielded by the Titans who survive and work it out from inside their own end.
That is more like it as Thomas Weaver puts in an early kick for Phillip Sami but Sunia Turuva handles it well and now the Panthers receive a relieving penalty. One more try could really see Penrith kick on here.
Titans struggling to threaten and get out of their own end now. They really need to start spreading it early because their speed men could cause problems for the Panthers.
Replays show a bobble in the play-the-ball from Jarome Luai in an earlier tackle but it was missed by the referees. It could have been a strip too, it would need to be looked at a bit more. Cleary kicks the goal nonetheless.

The game has started to settle into a rhythm after the Titans were on top early. Penrith still looking a bit rushed though at times, rattled by the early try conceded.
Nathan Cleary spots Thomas Jenkins in space on the sideline but the kick isn't great and it puts the winger under immediate pressure and he is taken into touch.
But instead AJ Brimson almost makes a break right through the middle, just pulled up before he could have really threatened in open space. Now the Titans concede a penalty on the kick return for Dylan Edwards.
Jarome Luai puts it into the air on the last and a strong chase traps Phillip Sami 10 out from his own line. Penrith need to step up the intensity in defence here after a slow start.
A tricky bomb here for Sunia Turuva under pressure from Phillip Sami but the Titans winger drops it and the Panthers get the ball back deep inside their own half.
Penrith find some space through the middle as Isaah Yeo steps through but he offloads it to a Titan.

The Titans certainly have plenty of points in them... but they will need a big effort in defence tonight to be any hope against the back-to-back defending premiers.
In team news, the Titans welcome back AJ Brimson, pushing Keano Kini to 18th man. Jack Cogger starts at hooker with Mitch Kenny still not fit to return. Elsewhere, Luke Garner joins the bench with Jaeman Salmon 18th man. It comes after Brian To'o, Scott Sorensen and Matt Eisenhuth dropped out on Friday, with Tom Jenkins, Spencer Leniu and Zac Hosking their replacements.
