Now a relieving penalty and even with a bit of time left you'd have to say this is over.
The Panthers have looked quite disorganised in attack but the credit has to go to Melbourne for making them play that way.
That may just be the game. Sunia Turuva finds space in the middle of the field and makes a huge break, he then finds Nathan Cleary in the middle and the halfback is pulled up. The Panthers now have space out wide and Xavier Coates rushes in and forces the error from Liam Martin.
Nothing really comes of that set. Penrith looked relatively clueless there and hand it over.

Melbourne get it back off the short restart. Not sure that one went off in time?
Incredible defence from Melbourne. Penrith threw everything at them. Not much organisation to it but they're threatening and a pinpoint grubber from Soni Luke on the last forces the dropout.
Big chance here for Penrith. The Storm looked to be creating something with an offload inside their own 20 but Reimis Smith drops it. Panthers now 20 out.
Xavier Coates with a determined carry close to the line and then a smart offload to Harry Grant who passes short to Tui Kamikamica and he spins over but he has dropped the ball. A huge opportunity missed!
Taylan May offside and the Storm have a big opportunity here to push 14 points ahead.
Meaney slots it from the sideline.
The mismatch on the wing finally produces points as Xavier Coates bats back the Jonah Pezet kick and Reimis Smith is over.
Obstruction is the ruling.
Soni Luke has just come on the field! Taylan May - he was the best on the field in the first half - and he gets on the outside of William Warbrick and races away, kicks inside and the interchange hooker is on the spot to score. The Bunker is checking an obstruction in the lead-up.
Matt Eisenhuth with an offload but Harry Grant bats it back and Melbourne have it. They survive.
An error from Melbourne inside their own 10. Luke Sommerton spots a hole and Nathan Cleary is in support but Ryan Papenhuyzen gets a hand to it and knocks it down.

Now the Storm turn it over. Penrith 30 out.
Penrith get it back off the short restart and now Isaah Yeo coughs it up cheaply.
A trick play off the scrum! Nathan Cleary kicks and Brian To'o is there but it takes a bounce. Alec MacDonald knocks it backwards and it goes dead. Should be a dropout.
Now Ryan Papenhuyzen puts one down... NRL must be glad they didn't send this game to Vegas. Panthers with a full set 10 out. Look for a short ball to Luke Garner from Jarome Luai in this sort of situation.
Now Penrith turn it over on the fourth. Sunia Turuva with a basic mistake 30 out.
The Storm looked to be building something there as Joe Chan starts it with a big run, then a quick play-the-ball but Christian Welch takes out Luke Garner on the next play and is penalised.
Another uncharacteristic error from Penrith, now inside their own half. You get the sense the first try of the game is coming now.
Nick Meaney squeezes through and has space but Taylan May saves what would have been a try with a crucial one-on-one effort. Melbourne go back to William Warbrick in the air but Penrith handle it well and scramble to force an error on the ensuing pass after Warbrick came down with it.
Nathan Cleary turns it back for Moses Leota who overruns it and drops the ball. Cheap error.
