FT - Dolphins 30 def Titans 14.
Bostock recovers and we'll have the voluntary tackles now.
The ball is as loose as an Easter Egg Hunt gone wrong
Dolphins go coast to coast. Fifita with a wild attempt of trip on Isaako too.
PENALTY TITANS: High shot
Boyd fails to add the extras.
From the penalty, the Titans shift the ball to this right hand edge and Brimson gets it away to Sami who crossed for his second try of the evening.
PENALTY TITANS: Obstruction by Kaufusi.
Dolphins taken on the last and it'll be a changeover.
PENALTY DOLPHINS: Slow peel
Goal.
Gold Coast ran out of ideas and eventually the amount of defence began to take it's toll. From a dropout, a simple short pass from Jesse Bromwich found a flying Josh Kerr who crashed over under the posts.
Isaako takes the short one!
AKP took it well but Jamayne Isaako takes him into the in-goal.
Well taken by AKP
Isaako converts.
Real nice set play here as Flegler isolated and bumped off Tanah Boyd before finding the Hammer to crash over and score what might be the match sealer for the Phins.
Kelly puts it down. I say bad moment on the previous one, it was last tackle and Katoa had Hammer on his outside on a block shape.
Katoa dummies and runs... bad moment.
Aitken wanting a crusher tackle and he's not going to win!
Isaako adds the extras and it's 18-10.
After a lull to start the second half. The Dolphins splashed and cashed into the try-line for the first time this half as the right edge combined to send Isaako away. He found Herbie Farnworth who crosses for his first try as a Dolphin.
Clever kick from Tanah Boyd. Made it competitive for Brimson and forces the error from Bostock. Sharpe's ruling is challenged by the Phins. Challenge is successful. Scrum to the Dolphins.
Lively kick return from Jayden Campbell. Titans now 10 short of halfway.
Kind of feel the next try will take the momentum for the rest of the match. Anything can happen in our great game as the Dolphins work it out of their own end.
Hammer takes the bomb - offloaded to Katoa and is crunched by Jolliffe.
Clark off - Verrills on
Brimson puts it down!
PENALTY TITANS: Inside 10m.
Kaufusi had Stimson's number!
Katoa went deep into the line and was crunched but his ribs are okay.
Dolphins taken on the change-over.
Flegler and Kerr coming back on and into the game respectively now.
Clark threw it forward - great call from Irons on the sideline.
SIX MORE TITANS: Slow peel - Sharpe initially blew a penalty
Titans can't get out of their own end at the moment.
Fifita to Campbell and he's in the clear. He takes on the Hammer and loses, Campbell flicks it out the back, it's on the ground and loose but Kelly loses it over the sideline!
They are yet to feature as well as Josh Kerr or Kurt Donoghoe for the Dolphins so far.
No Verrills or Stimson for the Titans.
Sami looks more ginger since coming out of the sheds at the break.
Euan Aitken taken on the last and now brings the changeover.
PENALTY PHINS: Kickoff OUT ON THE FULL!
GAME ON! Back underway for the second half from CBUS.
HALF-TIME: Dolphins 12 lead Titans 10
Successful!
After absorbing a lot of defence early and dealing with the sin-bin of Plath. The Dolphins led at the half after a lovely second try assist from Tabuai-Fidow. It was an even better finish from Bostock for his second of the match sending Tanah Boyd down the Constrictor at Wet n Wild.
Boyd is taken in-goal and it'll be a goal line dropout. Great kick from JMK.
Titans only getting to their 30m on tackle 5
We're back 13 v 13. Titans absolutely had a bad period there.
CHALLENGE UNSUCCESSFUL! Titans lose it and Foran said a "no no word" in explaining his displeasure at Todd Smith's ruling.
A late call from Kieren Irons says a knock on but Foran is challenging quickly so off to Todd Smith we go!
Tanah Boyd gets a bomb right and Bostock puts it down!
Mark Nicholls loses the ball short of the line... we have a decision! Quick and decisive from Todd Smith in the MenuLog Bunker.
VIDEO REF: Sharpe has NO TRY looking to confirm a knock on short of the line by Mark Nicholls.
AKP taken in the in-goal.
Erin Clark puts it down. If you want an exhibition on NOT to play down to 12 men, watch this from the Titans so far.
Katoa's grubber just a fraction deep there. Averillo chasing hard but to no avail. Seven tackle set incoming for the home side.
Nicholls taken just short!!
PENALTY PHINS: High shot from Moe on Bostock.
So some subs. Nicholls and Stone are on for the Phins replacing Bromwich and Flegler. Clark and Fifita replacing Jolliffe and Liu.
Oh no... Moe put it down...
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Ruck infringement (slow peel)
Sami is trying to battle on.
Plath has gone for 10!
Max Plath looks the guilty one.
PENALTY TITANS: Hip drop on Sami and now they have come in from absolutely everywhere. Max Plath looks guilty.
Phins convert set post points.
GOAL! Isaako nails it from touch!!!
He was denied a moment ago, but he crosses for the Dolphins first try. Isaiya Katoa digs deep into the line, finding Jake Averillo who found Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow who tips it on beautifully to Bostock who crossed out wide.
Jack Bostock held just short of the line. Much better attacking signs. If he doesn't juggle that I think he scores.
Rare field position inside the Titans half.
SIX MORE PHINS: Inside 10m
Sami puts it down and it'll be a change-over.
Averillo puts it down. Mistakes galore from the visitors early in this match.
Campbell's pass is called forward to Sami. Tyson Brough the far side hasn't moved off his mark and the Dolphins hang on.
Dolphins need to work their way back into this one, had to do a lot of defending in these opening exchanges.
Foran puts boot to ball and Hammer takes no chances.
Klese Haas has an attacking stat getting an offload to Jayden Campbell. That's a sign that the Titans are playing above themselves.
PENALTY TITANS: Out on the full
Boyd's kick to the right and it is 10-0.
Try-less last start. They have two in thirteen minutes. Tanah Boyd straightened the attack well, linking up with Kieran Foran who found AJ Brimson who drawed and passed to Phillip Sami who touched down for their second.
Bostock ran over the top of Tanah Boyd but the ball jolts free from the lanky wing three-quarter.
Titans convert their set post points as Hammer is CRUNCHED!
Boyd adds the extras and it's 6-0.
After going three halves without scoring a point! A clever quick play the ball allowed Brian Kelly to roam around the ruck, he then put boot to ball and the flying Jaimin Jolliffe put the ball down to cross for the opening try of the contest.
Farnworth taps Campbell's pass down and the Titans will get a fresh set following the scrum.
Katoa's kick was won by Herbie Farnworth. He created some second phase but Jamayne Isaako is taken on the last inside the 10m area.
Plath is dumped! Dominant tackle by Chris Randall.
Dolphins roll it in behind, Isaiya Katoa getting some early ball and looking damaging. Fermor doesn't handle it and they'll go on the attack 10m out.
PENALTY PHINS: Slow peel against Moeaki Fotuaika.
Sharpe doesn't restart the count ruling it all off Phil Sami. Klese Haas surrenders in the tackle and it'll be a change-over. Looks the right call.
Well read by Brian Kelly in defence. Dolphins saw a chance but Kodi Nikorima's pass to Herbie Farnworth goes astray and the Titans go on the attack.
Both sides getting through their first sets of the evening. Dolphins getting after Tanah Boyd in the kicking game which gave them a great platform to start!
GAME ON!! Underway from the GC!
AJ Lucantonio on deck to bring you home on Super Saturday tonight!
Ref is Belinda Sharpe tonight after a great performance last week. Tyson Brough and Kieren Irons are on the sideline. Todd Smith is the man in the bunker returning after having last weekend off from the Eveleigh hub.
Onto team news. As reported yesterday, Palasia is OUT with Joe Stimson starting up front. David Fifita comes onto the bench with Harley Smith-Shields as the concussion sub this evening. For the visiting Dolphins, they are 1-17, Bromwich is the 18th man. 19. Sean O'Sullivan is omitted from the squad.
We're back in the Sunshine State on the Glitter Strip where the Titans will look to avenge an 0-2 start to the year against a 1-1 Dolphins side fresh off their first bye of the season. Gold Coast can't be as bad as what they dished up last week (SURELY) while the Dolphins are boasting some confidence following a 32-0 win over the Dragons.
