FT: Dragons 32-Titans 16
Kini finishing with 393 metres... HOOLEY DOOLEY
Titans will finish with the ball.
Challenge here - call came very late from Drew Oultram - Dargons challenge is unsuccessful.
PENALTY TITANS: Escort
32-16.
At the end of the match, the Dragons finally got some field position and capitalised to secure victory. A brilliant run from Liddle out of dummy half saw Francis Molo try a similar strategy. The referee had to squat and manouvre himself to see it on the line but the try is confirmed.
Liddle is THROUGH! Brought down a metre away.
Dragons finally inside Titans end.
PENALTY DRAGONS: High tackle.
Should be a zero tackle and it will be. Good scramble from the Dragons
Kini approaching 350+ metres tonight. Absolutely monster effort from him
Sloan couldn't handle it - cleaned up by Hunt.
Gold Coast need something to happen and they need it NOW!
Great take under pressure from Tyrell Sloan.
Now the Titans having to get out of their own end. Expect an early kick to come - maybe a 40/20 attempt.
Short dropout defused by Bird. He has been excellent.
NRL debut coming up now for Lyhkan King-Togia.
Foran kicks on four and it is well defused by Feagai.
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Ruck infringment against Blake Lawrie.
Strong run from Fifita.
Brimson is ON for the Titans.
Dragons are stuck in quick sand. The quick sand is remarkably stretching 50 metres. They have barely gotten the ball over the Titans side of half-way.
No good - wide right.
Gold Coast capitalised on their dominance of field position with the breeze at their back. A wonderful rainbow ball from Foran found Fifita on the fly and the winger crossed for his double to keep the Titans in it.
Titans over-rule what the initial decision from Drew Oultram was. Not sure how he could've seen a Titans knock on in all that. But, Titans get a big chance.
We have a challenge to determine what-ever happened here.
Still on AJ Brimson watch.
Christian Tuipulotu knocks it over the dead-ball line.
Titans need to show something in attack. Take chances, make mistakes and get messy in the next 20
We're back 13 v 13.
Fifita puts a grubber in - well handled Bird.
Sami brought down by Max Feagai.
That was bizarre - Feagai caught the bomb - caught in traffic he puts boot to ball. Caught by Hunt, he got it to Lomax who does a trademark flick over the sideline. Been a while since we've seen Zac do that.
Challenge successful Dragons - PENALTY for a high tackle.
Christian Tuipulotu finally gets tested - loses it backwards - brilliantly scrambled and cleaned up by Jack Bird.
Need to score here.
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Ruck infringement.
PENALTY TITANS: Kini ruled a strip - he might have hurt a finger here.
Dragons hang on in defence
Kini v Sloan - great cover tackle by Sloan.
Lomax v AKP won by AKP.
AKP loses it in the contest.
PEN TITANS: Late shot
He is gone! De Belin goes for 10 after a late shot to the head on Foran.
Jack De Belin might be in trouble here...
Both sides been in the arm-wrestle the last five minutes. Lomax attacks a mid-field bomb and is brought down. Mitch Pearce in the crowd as we had an awkward silence in the broadcast box.
26-12.
Titans capitalise on a Dragons knock on. Foran passed it high to Campbell who did initially lose it but it was negated by a kick before the ball hits the ground, Campbell chases through and scores. A great decision by Wyatt Raymond.
Dragons make a mistake - trying to catch them short on the short-side but no cigar for the Dragons.
Seems that breeze is playing a big part. Titans dominating the early field position in this second half.
Back underway for this second half. Titans eventually recover the kick-off.
Lomax adds extras.
Toby scored one, now Ryan is assisting one. Brilliant offload from Ryan Couchman to Leilua and the Dragons inflict a hammer blow on the Titans.
PENALTY DRAGONS: Inside 10m from the scrum and they will REPACK
CHALLENGE SGI: Wyatt says knock on Dargons, but the challenge is coming up. Chris Butler in the bunker in a late sub. Challenge is successful.
A crash pass to Feagai and Mat goes without it... but hang on.
Kini trapped in-goal.
20-6
Liddle down the hay diddle diddle he gets it to one of the Couchmans - it's Toby and he scores for the Dragons. The 6 x League Scene NSW Cup TOTW entrant crashes over to score.
De Belin goes on his own... brought down on the last and will result in a change of possession.
And you wouldn't believe it - Titans running into this strong breeze have failed to find touch - great job by Tyrell Sloan.
PENALTY TITANS: High shot by Luciano Leilua.
AKP is staying down. He does have a habit of it without sounding disrespectful. Wyatt Raymond has said "tackle two".
Really important period for the Titans they cannot allow this margin to get any bigger.
Lomax can't hook it back.
That penalty comes back to absolutely bite the Titans. Hunt gets try-assist number 30 with a brilliant pass to Lomax. The Titans defence were on different islands and the NSW winger flies across in the right corner.
PENALTY DRAGONS: Brian Kelly deliberately takes out a Dragon defender (looks like Jaydn Su'A).
Couchman offloads to Bird and then finds Couchman 2 and then he lose the football. Vossy says this game could be anything and it is so far.
The one major complaint from the Dragons so far - considering their defensive improvement. Every side has looked dangerous against them on a kick return.
Really intriguing in this one so far - a side hasn't taken the game for the full taking so far. Strong charge from Isaac Liu gets it up and beyond the half-way line.
JoJo Fifita puts it down bombing a golden opportunity.
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Slow peel.
PENALTY TITANS: Slow peel - Wyatt identifies them "1,2,3 PEEL!"
Titans survive - strong defence there from I think it was Foran or Jolliffe.
PENALTY DRAGONS: High contact spotted by the referee there - David Fifita getting the caution. He was also placed on report.
Titans are under assault with the kick but they are the best counter attacking team in the comp. Sami takes advantage and gets the footy inside Dragons territory.
Titans defuse the kick for Lomax - running into a strong breeze here at WIN Stadium.
Dragons complete their set post points.
Lomax adds the extras.
The home side went back to back after the Titans kick-off caught the wind and Luciano Leilua capitalised on the over-chase and got to within 20 metres of the Titans line. The visitors couldn't hold and Ben Hunt threw a dummy, fooled Jayden Campbell and put the home side in front.
SIX MORE SGI: Hand on ball
That is a ridiculous kick-off - Leilua sprints up to the 20m line. This is absolutely BANANAS.
Lomax no good - wide left
St George was able to capitalise relatively quickly on a Titans error. The Dragons went 90 metres from the counter-attack and got their first try. A well-worked set move down the left edge saw a magnificent tip-on pass from Tyrell Sloan and Christian Tuipulotu had just enough pace to beat Phillip Sami to cross.
SIX AGAIN DRAGONS: Ruck infringement
Titans butcher a chance - picked off by Tom Eisenhuth - he found Christian Tuipulotu before getting caught down by Jojo Fifita.
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Ruck infringement.
Su'a drops it as the Dragons were starting to come up field and impose themselves in this fixture.
Dragons getting back into the grind. The focus is not giving Kini a staggered line, he is such an impressive ball carrier.
Campbell adds the extras. 6-0
The Dragons started very poorly with a poor kick chase allowing one of the game's most damaging kick returners to find open space. Keano Kini got through a poor tackle from Jacob Liddle and he found Jojo Fifita to score under the posts for the opening try.
Here we go on the GC. Titans will want a win for Foran's 300th, Dragons need something to keep the Dolphins at bay.
Kieran Foran gets a small applause for his 300th game. The sole BKR Sport in a Foran 300 shirt.
Wyatt Raymond is in charge tonight in his 9th NRL match as we celebrate Kieran Foran's 300th match this afternoon. Drew Oultram and Kieran Irons are the touch judges with Grant Atkins in the bunker this afternoon.
Big changes for the Dragons. Kyle Flanagan's supsension sees Bird into the halves, while de Belin drops to the bench and Lawrie starts prop, while King-Togia debuts on the bench. Gold Coast are 1-17.
Sunday Ticket sees us take a trip down the Gong with the Dragons desperate to capitalise on the Dolphins loss yesterday to the Dogs when they take on the Titans.
