FT: Dragons 38 d Titans 16.
No good to finish the night.
Dragons from the scrum.
Last set of the game
Adds the extras.
Campbell exposes the broken defence of the Titans to break through, it went through several sets of hands before AJ Brimson breaks away to score after a great ball from Arama Hau.
Titans now with some second phase play.
Francis loses it in the contest.
It will be a penalty against Klemmer for running through the kicking leg.
Great leap from Allan Fitzgibbon on debut but he fails to come down with the ball.
Sloan runs away to score from the short kickoff... but that pass from Liddle to Sloan went about 4 metres forward... but thankfully Chris Butler is going to be bailed out by the Bunker.
No goal.
The Dragons put an exclamation mark on this one when Ilias had the ball on a string. It was a terrific ball to the young edge forward Dylan Egan who was one of the best on ground to score in the final ten minutes.
Des Hasler will give Arama Hau some charity minutes in the end of this one.
Chip over the top, Campbell wins the race and kicks it straight to Gutho who gets play inside the Titans end of the ground.
Crash ball to AJ Brimson ends in disaster and the Dragons goal-line defence holds.
PENALTY TITANS: Inside 10m
As I type that, Lachlan Ilias butchers it
Some great play there from the Dragons!
Here we go... Gray is off to the bin for a high tackle with moderate force!
PENALTY DRAGONS: High shot
Titans challenge is unsuccessful
They will challenge.
Accidental offside - we will have a scrum for the Dragons to come out of their own end.
PENALTY TITANS: Inside 10m
Campbell adds the extras.
STRAIGHT FROM THE RESTART! Fifita runs riot out here, Fermor holds the pass up brilliantly and Sami goes over out wide.
successful
They are running riot! Some great shape out to the right edge, using Gutherson as a decoy and allowing Suli to find Sloan to get his second of the night.
Christian Tuipulotu is coming straight from the field... he pushed the trainer away initially but he has come off.
Oh no... poor Allan Fitzgibbon drops his first carry.
Dragons attack just comes unstuck
No no no no, Fifita creates second phase off the tap, gets the arm free but Brian Kelly overplayed that situation.
PENALTY TITANS: Ruck interference.
Liddle breaking through before a pass to Jack de Belin goes behind him.
Kelly has claimed a second try. A clever kick in behind from AJ Brimson and Kelly claims a double... the Bunker will definitely have a look at this though.
Suli has had the definition rocks and diamonds game.
Egan going for the line and he has come up with an error.
Dragons doing some Globetrotter offence... great kick from Val, De Groot did bobble it, good call from the officiating crew.
Well read there by Allan Fitzgibbon to force Gutho to rush that.
SIX AGAIN DRAGONS: Ruck infringement.
Fresh set coming up for the Dragons - kick was played at!
Cook going from dummy half... he will be denied.
PENALTY DRAGONS: Strip after held against David Fifita.
Allan Fitzgibbon is on for his NRL debut! So Fermor to backrow for Haas and Fitzgibbon onto the wing.
Good shot from Hamish Stewart.
No goal.
GIVE US THE MONEY CT! That was an absolute peach of a pass from Kyle Flanagan and Tuipulotu goes over untouched out wide. We aren't in July yet, but if I was SportsBet I would be checking my funds for Try July
SIX AGAIN DRAGONS: Slow peel
Chris Butler finding the ground! We love a ref stack
HT: Dragons 24 lead Titans 4.
Holmes nails it.
Call the fire brigade, these Dragons are breathing FIREEEE! Leilua's ball playing again catches the Titans asleep, Holmes breaks away, links up with Gutherson before finding Kyle Flanagan to go over for the third try seven minutes!
From left to right! Holmes has nailed it !!
The error count kept rising for the visitors and the door continued to open for the home side. Great shape from Flanagan to get Suli on the outside of Kelly and Sloan had too much pace for Francis to score.
No balance and control from Beau Fermor... it will be a handover.
Sloan sets the target on De Groot.
Successful.
After a lull in the contest where both sides struggled to break through each other's defensive patterns. St George Illawarra capitalised on a Brock Gray crusher tackle to cross for their second try. A terrific short pass from Luciano Leilua caught the Titans defence asleep and Valentine Holmes slid through to score.
Brock Gray is on report.
PENALTY DRAGONS: Crusher tackle
Dragons get the short dropout back!
Good kick from Campbell, well weighted and Gutho takes no chances.
Goal line dropout is defused by the Titans.
Brimson goes for the banana kick, De Groot was flying but that is terrific scramble from Luciano Leilua.
I don't know what David Fifita put in his Weet Bix this morning, but he is having a big say in this one at the moment.
That last tackle option needs to be ripped out of the Dragons playbook.
Looks like Toby Couchman shook off that injury.
PENALTY DRAGONS: High shot by Jaimin Jolliffe.
Crash ball doesn't work and they were looking for big Moeaki Fotuaika.
SIX AGAIN TITANS: Slow peel against Dylan Egan.
Looking on the replay... that ain't on Flanagan, Sloan was back a fairway, if he runs onto the ball, he is away down the right.
Flanagan goes short-side and the pass ends up in Row Z.
Fifita definitely taking the ownership in attack at the moment. Poor kick though as Gutho takes that on the full.
That is a terrific read from Suli. Gets one back on the Titans.
Definitely looked like a strip, but with the stripping rule who knows !
CHALLENGE DRAGONS: The challenge is unsuccessful
Oh no... Moses Suli drops this one stone cold but we are off to the Bunker.
Conversion attempt is waved away
Off the back of some disappointing Dragons play, David Fifita was able to isolate Lachlan Ilias one-on-one and get the pass away to Brian Kelly to score.
Brimson goes early to kick in the line... but it is a little deep. Referee Butler rules that Jack de Belin obstructed.
That has been a theme for the Dragons, show some signs of brilliance, but then a poor pass from Ilias.
Some nice hands put De Belin away! He is taken about 10 metres from the line. A great grubber was defused even better by De Groot.
PENALTY DRAGONS: Crusher tackle.
Dragons complete their set after points.
Holmes adds the extras.
He doesn't show us the money but he has a celebration for the faithful. Some slick hands out to the left hand side saw Christian Tuipulotu cross in the left corner.
SIX AGAIN: Ruck infringement.
Toby Couchman still not moving well out there at the moment.
BIG TIME TACKLE ! Randall looked certain to score but it was important tackle from captain terrific Clinton Gutherson
PENALTY TITANS: Slow peel against David Klemmer
Dylan Egan being imposing on this edge for the home side
HANG ON! De Groot has claimed a try but we are looking for a knock on by Reagan Campbell-Gillard... decision is made by Liam Kennedy. NO TRY!
Holmes engages the line - tries to find Christian Tuipulotu... but the ball is just behind him.
That ball was allowed to bounce - terrific scramble from Flanagan to save that one.
Good take from De Groot under immense pressure from Gutho!
Both sides ease their way through the opening sets!
UNDERWAY FROM WIN! Titans with first use of the football
Referee tonight is Chris Butler who returns after his week sabbatical in NRL match 154. Dave Munro and Daniel Luttringer have the flags. Liam Kennedy in the Bunker. Kickoff at the top of the hour.
Onto team news now. For the home side, Dylan Egan starts on the edge while Luciano Leilua is on the bench. Matt Feagai is 18th man. For the visitors, Allan Fitzgibbon is on NRL debut tonight replacing Jojo Fifita, if he is in the clear... all we can say is GOOD LUCK! It will come from the bench with Fermor to centre and Sami to wing. Elsewhere, David Fifita earns a start to cover Fermor while Weaver is 18th man.
Welcome to WIN Stadium for Friday Night Football's twilight fixture as the St George Illawarra Dragons play host to the Gold Coast Titans.
