This is the first time the Sea Eagles have played at Optus Stadium. The side has defeated the Warriors three times previously during the NRL era at other Perth venues.
The Sharks have played at Optus Stadium once before, defeating the Rabbitohs in 2023. The Sharks have also played at HBF Park in Perth back in 2005 where they defeated the Warriors.
Manly second-rower Haumole Olakauatu will play his 100th game for the club on Saturday afternoon; the 26-year-old Tongan and New South Wales representative made his NRL debut against the Sharks in the 2019 finals series.
This is the 100th meeting between Cronulla and Manly; the Sea Eagles have dominated the total clashes with 68 wins, 2 draws and 29 losses.
The Sharks have won four of the past five meeting against the Sea Eagles during Craig Fitzgibbon’s tenure.
This is the first match of a double header played in Perth this round; kick-off is scheduled for 1.00pm local time.
