Despite falling into an early hole, the Raiders have proven too strong for the Titans in a 30-20 victory.
The Titans started the game with a three try blitz in the opening quarter - first when Beau Fermor crashed over, then Jojo Fifita snagging a Tom Weaver bomb to get across the line, and finally AJ Brimson executing a perfect chip and chase to push the lead to 16 within the first 20 minutes.
But the Raiders began the fight back almost immediately, when a lovely piece of ball movement allowed Tamale to stroll over, then a short ball from Morgan Smithies allowed Hudson Young to score, and finally Jamal Fogarty turned his halves partner Ethan Strange loose to power across the line, and suddenly the game was tied at 16 all.
The Raiders started the second half perfectly, when a bomb by Fogarty saw Seb Kris claim the mark and score. But then the Raiders attack began to stall while the Titans grew in confidence. This resulted in a try for Alan Fitzgibbon, the first of his NRL career, to cut the lead back to two points.
They thought they hit the front just a few minutes later when Fitzgibbon caught a Weaver bomb for what appeared to be his second try, but the Bunker intervened and found a knock on by Brimson as they both went for the catch. This completely flipped the momentum, and not long after Young crossed for his second to give the Raiders a 28-20 lead. Then the Titans gave away a high tackle and Fogarty tacked on a penalty goal, securing the win for the Raiders and entrenching them into the top 4.
