KP forces a dropout now - Taine Tuaupiki recovers well.
No advantage off the knock on from the Warriors - Newcastle will retain possession.
Good kick from Sharpe but Tuaupiki takes no chances.
Tuaupiki adds the extras.
The Warriors sealed the game just inside the final ten minutes, punishing the Knights for their errors out of yardage. Metcalf dug deep into the line, the ball appeared to take a touch off Chanel Harris-Tavita (backwards) before landing in Pompey's arms to score his second try of the contest.
Marzhew tries a hail mary offload that goes straight to Rocco Berry.
Warriors attack amounts to little !
Inside the last ten minutes or so here in Christchurch - nearly entering separation mode.
SIX AGAIN WAHS
Brailey grubber is recovered by Jackson Ford.
Way too lateral from the Knights though.
Good carry from Best to get inside the Wahs end.
Egan running riot out here - exploiting the markers.
Gagai was hit as he caught it - great defensive read from the Warriors.
Good kick from Metcalf but the bounce was perfect for one Kalyn Ponga.
CNK struggling with a cramp.
The kick sat up perfectly but the ball was bounced by Ali Leiataua.
The crowd are loving it !!
Dropout is contestable but it will be a handover as it went out on the full.
James Schiller learning from the Dom Young school of running sideways and Mitchell Barnett tackles him in-goal.
Waved away
Just as the Knights were building, a loose Jack Cogger pass was intercepted by Luke Metcalf who looked for all money to score. A brave chase from Fletcher Sharpe brought him down. The damage was done in that set as Wayde Egan punished the defence to go over to score for the hosts.
INTERCEPT! Metcalf runs away with it... brought down by Sharpe... Metcalf struggling with cramp and he's in all sorts.
CHT loses it in good field position as the Knights are up over half way.
Newcastle bringing some forwards into the game now!
It's a 10 point game in Newy.
Gagai took responsibility for the attack in his own hands as he broke away from Ali Leiataua before passing back on the inside to James Schiller who rebounded after a horror opening half for the former Raider.
Good scramble from CNK to escape the field of play!
SIX AGAIN KNIGHTS: 10 metres was the call from Wyatt Raymond.
Newcastle need to show something here.
PENALTY KNIGHTS: Inside 10m.
Just looking for some flow in this game at the moment. Nice run from Egan out of dummy half.
Marzhew is dumped by big Bunty.
Mistake in the set post resumption from the Knights.
Back underway for the second half.
HT: Wahs 16 lead Knights 0
Seven errors from the Knights in the first half.
SIX MORE KNIGHTS: Ruck infringement.
Successful from James Schiller.
Challenge time for the Knights - disputing a decision of a knock on.
Conversion is good!
Off the back of another error from Schiller, the Warriors went on the attack and nailed a hammer blow on the Knights. Metcalf straightened the attack to find Erin Clark before a terrific offload to Ford allowed him to slide for a first-half double.
Schiller's horror show continues - another spilled bomb leads to six more.
PENALTY WAHS: Slow peel.
No headgear, no worries for James Schiller. The bomb was spilled by Adam Pompey and Schiller was jolly on the spot to pick up the scraps and slam the ball down for the Knights... But for the FOURTH TIME! We are off to the Bunker and it is NO TRY!
Well contained there was Kai Pearce-Paul.
Independent doctor has called for Marata Niukore to come from the ground.
Challenge unsuccessful
PENALTY WAHS: Hand on ball against Egan... but we will have the first Captain's Challenge of the contest.
Marata Niukore is down claiming an injury - may have been a burner.
Metcalf's kick is waved away.
The home side instead continued to attack James Schiller with an air-raid. Pompey took it on the full and dumped it to Ali Leiataua before finding Jackson Ford to get the second try of the contest for the home side.
No advantage and we will have a turnover.
NO TRY FOR MARZHEW!
After a fairly dull attacking month, one bright spot has been Greg Marzhew and his explosive plays. The visitors called on his services with just over 15 to play as he was able to shrug off several defenders to get the ball to the ground. HOLD ON! Off to the bunker for the THIRD TIME TODAY!
SIX MORE KNIGHTS: Slow peel.
PENALTY KNIGHTS: Shot clock violation.
Pompey cannot handle that one! Knights get a result and a chance for a scrum to go on the attack.
Warriors just seem every bit ahead of the Knights through the opening quarter.
Ponga tries the speccy but overshoots it, taps it back and thankfully Greg Marzhew was right there.

Metcalf loses it in the redzone and the ball is recovered by the Knights who hang on in defence.
PENALTY WAHS: Ruck breakdown.
The flick pass from Gagai was about a metre behind James Schiller and to the shock of no one, the mistake is made as the ball was nearly impossible to catch.
Leo Thompson returns and we are 13 v 13.
The Knights should take some confidence from only conceding the one try in the sin-bin period but the middle and edge defence would be concerning for Adam O'Brien's men.
NO TRY ! Tuaupiki will be denied.
The home side were cutting the visitors apart. A big break from Capewell set the Warriors up nicely as a beautiful pass from Metcalf allowed Taine Tuaupiki to score a spectacular try... HANG ON WE'RE OFF TO THE BUNKER!
SET RESTART WAHS: Slow peel.
Capewell splits them again, he tries to draw and pass but Kalyn Ponga launches like superman to save the day. Threat isn't extinguished though for the Knights.
Great kick from Metcalf.
Despite the initial setback, it was the kick that got the Warriors on the board. A bomb was not defused by Dane Gagai before quick hands from Kurt Capewell found Adam Pompey who claimed a try in the left corner. Despite some anxious moments, the Bunker confirmed it.
Metcalf and Halasima are crashing down the Newcastle left edge. Very effective so far.
Newcastle are stuck in quick sand. Sharpe's kick goes way too deep.
PENALTY KNIGHTS: Obstruction.
HOLD ON! Bunker time and we're looking at the lead run of Leka Halasima and this constitutes an obstruction. NO TRY.
Despite the chaos of the sin-bins inside the opening five minutes. The Warriors capitalised on their momentum with some nice linkup work from Luke Metcalf before finding Leka Halasima before being taken metres from the line. Moments later, a nice play to the right saw Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad go over in the right corner after seven minutes...
SIX AGAIN WAHS: Slow peel.
Metcalf has the Knights defence on skates. Links up with Leka Halasima who is taken 5 metres away from the line.
Direct with moderate force, no mitigation. Wyatt Raymond sends Leo Thompson to the bin and this is chaotic inside the first 5 minutes.
PENALTY WARRIORS: High tackle - looks to be Leo Thompson.
Marzhew deals with a difficult kick relatively easily.
Kick from Cogger is too deep and the Warriors will get a seven tackle set.
Niukore gets 10 minutes.

ANZAC Round continues from Apollo Projects Stadium. The Warriors are the NRL's surprise packets while the Knights have struggled to score points even when led to the try-line. Onto team news, Niukore starts at prop with Ford going to the bench, Leka Halasima is the new edge backrower. No further changes with Boyd the concussion sub. For the visitors, just a hooker change ontop of yesterday's halves shuffle. Jayden Brailey starts with Phoenix Crossland reverting to the bench. Matt Arthur is the concussion sub.
