Here come the Bulldogs first onto a damp Sydney Football Stadium with the Bulldogs fans coming out in reasonable numbers. They are of course, wearing their traditional blue and white vee, followed by the home side.. in their red, blue and white to some generous applause from the faithful.
After the buzz, excitement and overreaction of Round 1, we move onto the smoother pastures of round 2. Teams all have eighty minutes in them and are either looking to make it 2/2 or bouncing back. Tonight's hosts are the former - the Roosters produced a clinical first half to help put away the Gold Coast Titans while the Bulldogs lost a close encounter with last year's runners-up the Storm.
This fixture has some history with these two sides contesting the 2004 Grand Final (won by Canterbury) and several clashes during the mid 2000s. Hopefully tonight can live up to those. Kick-off is set down for around 8pm.
