Welcome to Suncorp Stadium, where two of the heavyweights of the NRL competition face off with the Brisbane Broncos hosting the Melbourne Storm in arguably the match of the round.
Brisbane has a host of late changes with winger Corey Oates ruled out, which sees Jonus Pearson come onto the wing in jersey #21. Ben Hunt will start at halfback, with Kodi Nikorima starting from the interchange bench. Herman Ese’ese who has announced he is signing with the Knights in 2018, has been dropped, with Joe Ofahengaue coming onto the bench in jersey #18 and as per usual for the home side, Alex Glenn will start in the second row, with Sam Thaiday providing the impact off the pine.
Melbourne also has a few late changes, with Young Tonumaipea out, replaced in the centres by Curtis Scott in jersey #20. Slade Griffin drops off the interchange bench and is replaced by Mark Nicholls in jersey #18.
With a host of Queensland players in both sides, and many of them auditioning for a spot in the Maroons squad, expect this to be an enthralling contest.
