Manly get the first penalty of the day after a strip from Tamou and Merrin. That play came after a poor last play option from Penrith saw Uate take a Wallace kick with ease.

However, Manly bounced back courtesy of some bruising tackles in defence, forcing Cleary to bomb within his own 40. Manly now concede a penalty after DWZ is held down after taking a spiraling bomb. It's a big letoff, Manly have been well in control but now Campbell-Gillard drops it off the ensuing tackle and Penrith look very off early.
