Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that halfback Luke Brooks has extended his playing contract with the Club for the next two seasons.
The new deal will see Brooks remain with Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2019 season.
Since making his NRL debut for the Club in 2013, the former Dally M Rookie of the Year has played a total of 70 first-grade games in Wests Tigers colours, making his representative debut for the NRL All Stars in 2015.
A local junior of Wests Tigers, Brooks said he was delighted to remain with the Club he grew up supporting and has played his entire career with.
"I'm definitely excited to be a part of the future at Wests Tigers," Brooks said.
"With the new Coach Ivan Cleary coming in, there's a lot of energy around the club and it's exciting to be a part of that.
"I've always been at the club and I love this club, so I think that made it a lot easier for me to stay here. I've played for a few years now and I really want to step up and take control of this team.
"I'm looking forward to growing further as a player and a person off the field, and doing that here at Wests Tigers," he said.
Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary said he looked forward to working with Brooks over the coming two seasons.
"We're really excited to have Luke commit his future to Wests Tigers," he said.
"He has the opportunity to play a leading role in building this Club towards its true potential."
Wests Tigers CEO Pascoe said the he was impressed with the way that Brooks was maturing both on and off the field.
"Luke continues to impress me with how he is growing both as a player and an individual," said Pascoe. "Personally I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him over the coming seasons and helping him to achieve his goals.
"Luke's an impressive young man and we're thrilled that he has chosen to extend his stay with the club for a further two seasons," he said.
