1.

Last week: 3rd

One of the most comprehensive performances from any side this year to effectively and comfortably dismantle the Dragons. Look a genuine premiership threat now.

2.

Last week: 1st

Dominated the Warriors and only lose a place due to the impressive nature of the Panthers' victory.

3.

Last week: 4th

Six consecutive wins now and made it look easy against a listless Knights side. Definitely the kind of result coach Flanagan would've been after against lower-placed opposition.

4.

Last week: 2nd

Didn't seem to have answers for a quality Penrith side, even before Ben Hunt went off injured. It may not have blown out so much but it was still difficult to see the Red V winning. Is this the start of the Dragons' slide?

5.

Last week: 6th

Had to labour hard to down the Cowboys. Still not looking likely to defend their title - but you'd be a fool to rule them out.

6.

Last week: 7th

A comfortable win over the Titans in front of a middling crowd in Gosford. Will be up against this Sunday missing Origin stars when they take on Wests Tigers.

7.

Last week: 5th

Never looked likely against the Rabbitohs but in fairness, are still missing Johnson and had Lino withdraw in the lead-up, having to rely on centre Peta Hiku in the halves.

8.

Last week: 8th

Did the job on the Eels but it didn't look easy at all. Will appreciate the bye this week.

9.

Last week: 9th

An unconvincing win over Canterbury sees them maintain 9th spot in these rankings. Have a golden opportunity to cement their top eight ladder position against an Origin-weakened Roosters on Sunday.

10.

Last week: 12th

Superb comeback and they jump two spots as a result here. Still an outside chance of featuring in the eight this season if they can win more of those close ones.

11.

Last week: 10th

On the slide big time. Without Pearce they're a shadow of the side that looked like top eight contenders just over a month ago.

12.

Last week: 11th

Lost a game they should've won on Friday and now face the Cowboys with both sides missing key players through Origin. Good luck tipping this one.

13.

Last week: 13th

Another week of a competitive, gritty football not yielding a result. Seem to start well but fade out. Losing key second-rower Raymond Faitala-Mariner couldn't have helped but should've done enough to repel the Tigers.

14.

Last week: 15th

Pushed the Storm all the way but just couldn't get the result. They're not as bad as they were in the opening two months of the season but it's an uphill battle if they want to do anything meaningful the rest of the season. Losing three players to Origin this week won't help their cause against a hungry Manly side.

15.

Last week: 14th

Just weren't good enough against the Roosters despite the odd flash of brilliance.

16.

Last week: 16th

Gave a good account of themselves against Brisbane but it's hard to see them finishing anywhere but last at the moment. Might jag a few wins through the Origin period.
