Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs v South Sydney Rabbitohs

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have held the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs scoreless in a 38-0 rout at Stadium Australia on Good Friday.

Scoring six tries to nil in a match played before an unrestricted crowd of 23,240 supporters, a late flurry of tries saw the Rabbitohs run away with the match.

Opening a season with four straight losses for the first time since 1971, the loss saw the Bulldogs join the 2014 Sharks as the only teams in premiership history to be held scoreless in three consecutive matches.

Beginning the contest with plenty of enthusiasm during the opening exchanges, the Bulldogs were dealt a blow with Lachlan Lewis suffering a head knock that ruled him out for the remainder of the match.

Striking first through Josh Mansour (17th minute) after the Rabbitohs identified an opportunity on the right edge, captain Adam Reynolds added a further two points following a tackle from Jack Hetherington that was placed on report.

Taking the score out to 14-0 shortly before the change of ends, Damien Cook exposed the Bulldogs with speed through the middle of the field before linking with Cody Walker (30th minute) who touched down underneath the posts.

Withstanding a spirited start from the Bulldogs who came narrowly close to points, Cook secured the result with a blistering break from inside his own half to set up Walker (55th minute) for his second.

Breaking the shackles to post points at will over the final quarter, tries to Alex Johnston (59th minute), Latrell Mitchell (70th minute) and Adam Reynolds (80th minute) saw the Rabbitohs post their biggest ever win over the blue and whites.

Next week, the Bulldogs host the Storm on Saturday evening, while the Rabbitohs open the round on Thursday night against the Broncos.
