The season is 27 rounds in length, with each team to play 6 opponents twice, and 5 opponents three times, including Magic Weekend.

Super League has also signed an historic new deal with Channel 4 which will see ten live games broadcast across the season, starting with a Round 1 Saturday afternoon contest between Leeds and Warrington from Headingley on February 12. This is in addition to at least 2-3 games per week on Sky Sports.

Magic Weekend in St. James' Park shifts earlier to a summer event in 2022, with Newcastle's big weekend of action to take place on July 9 and 10, which is Round 18. The fixturing based on finishing positions the previous year - 1 v 3, 2 v 4, 5 v 7 and so on. The fixtures are:

Saturday, July 9
Wakefield v Toulouse (2:30pm)
St Helens v Wigan (4:45pm)
Leeds v Castleford (7pm)

Sunday, July 10
Huddersfield v Salford (1pm)
Catalans v Warrington (3:15pm)
Hull KR v Hull FC (5:30pm)

The Grand Final is locked in to be played at Manchester's Old Trafford on Saturday, September 24. This is two weeks earlier than usual, due to the Rugby League World Cup starting mid-October in England.

A Sky Sports report suggests that Catalans are looking to host a home game in Marseille at Stade Velodrome. Thus far, this match has not been scheduled.
