After a tensely contested first half which saw Thunder centre Jesse Dee yellow carded, Batley extended their 12-4 halftime lead into a comfortable 32-14 win.

A surprise loss for Bradford to a Sheffield side that fell to Barrow just a week ago. The two sides were level 6-all at the break and Bradford did lead 14-12 mid-way through the second half, but a pair of tries, both converted as well as a penalty goal handed the Eagles victory.

Shocking weather at the Rec Ground for the Cumbrian derby - the Raiders, buoyed by last weeks win over Sheffield - shot to an 18-0 halftime lead. Haven restricted them to that score after the break but could only add one try of their own.
