Despite losing halfback Bayley Gill early, Featherstone overcame a tenacious Workington Town, themselves recovering from a heavy Round 2 loss. The Rovers raced to a 14-0 lead but Town kept them honest, scoring first after the break, the sides trading tries throughout the second half for a final score of 26-10.

A sodden, muddy Craven Park played host to a gruelling contest, but it was Barrow who dominated proceedings throughout. Barrow led 6-0 at the break and continued to a 14-0 lead before Thunder scored a late consolation.

Another muddy contest saw York grind out a converted-try victory at Mount Pleasant. Ronan Michael got the visitors on the board early, and the Knights led 6-0 at the change of ends. With fifteen minutes left Batley scored through Walshaw before a Will Oakes four-pointer restored the away team's lead, which they held to fulltime.

Despite losing Reiss Butterworth to a red card just after halftime, Dewsbury managed to fight back for a famous two-point win. The Rams went up 6-0 after a penalty goal and try in the first half, but Sheffield dominated after the hour mark, with a pair of tries putting them 10-6 ahead. The twist in the tale came with eight minutes on the close when Adam Ryde scored the match-winner, which Matty Beharrell duly converted.

Another mud-bath, another low-scoring wild winter clash saw Widnes claim a narrow victory. Widnes scored 8 of their 9 points in the first half, keeping the Panthers scoreless prior to halftime. The home side got on the board through Saltonstall eight minutes after the resumption - the try converted and a penalty added at 55 minutes drawing scores level. Widnes' halfback Matty Smith potted the winning drop-goal with 13 minutes remaining and the Vikings held on to that one-point lead through to the final siren.

Emphatic win for Leigh in the third instalment of Monday night rugby league. Bradford - playing in a resplendent purple clash kit - were competitive in the first 40, holding the Centurions to an 8-4 halftime scoreline before Leigh went on to score 30 unanswered second half points to record their second win of the season.
