The Brisbane Broncos have continued their dominance in the NRLW with a 28-10 victory over the Newcastle Knights at a wet and windy WIN Stadium in Wollongong.

Momentum was with Newcastle early on although the Broncos were the first team to cross the stripe with Emily Bass going over in the corner though the officials both onfield and in the bunker were forced to knock back Bass' efforts with the Broncos winger clearly going into touch.

The Knights then were able to go over for what everybody thought was the first four pointer through Katelyn Vaha'akolo who was able to go over in the corner after some good work from the Knights drawing defenders in. However, despite what looked to be some good attack was ruled to have been caused by an obstruction in the middle of the park.

Momentum then began to flow for the Broncos and they opened the scoring just a matter of minutes later when Millie Boyle charged through the middle of the park and scored under the posts. The Broncos added a second in quick succession when Tamilka Upton combined with Shenae Ciesiolka to put the centre into space before Upton got the ball back to score.

The Knights second half started as their first half went with errors and the Broncos were able to add a third try early in the half when Upton and Ciesiolka combined yet again this time with Ciesiolka creating the space and linking with Upton who linked with Ciesolka to score.

Errors continued to hurt the Knights and the Broncos took advantage with Hagiga Mosby scoring on her NRLW debut as the Broncos created the opportunity off the back of a scrum.

The Knights got their first of the afternoon when after building some good pressure, Maitua Feterika was able to charge her way to the line off a great run to get over and give the Knights a fleeting hope.

An amazing solo effort from the Jayme Fressard gave the Knights some momentum as she was able to run 85m solo beating some covering defence as well as some of the quickest players in the NRLW to get over to score. The much-needed conversion from Chantay Poko from close range was waved away.

The last laugh went with the Broncos who took advantage of another error from the Knights when Amy Turner was able to go through off yet another scrum play and following Brown's conversion, the Broncos took victory 28-10.

Next weekend, the Knights take on the Roosters at the SCG on Saturday afternoon as part of an NRL double header involving the same two sides in the Men's; Whilst the Broncos take on the Dragons at Commbank Stadium on Sunday.
