Sharks no match as Roosters prove they're still contenders

The Brisbane Broncos have continued to prove to doubters wrong, beating the Sea Eagles by a massive 38 points to nil scoreline in the second game of Magic Round.
The match started off in disaster for the Sea Eagles and never really got any better, with Tom Trbojevic allowing the kickoff to bounce and the ball then went over the dead ball line.
The Sea Eagles then opted to go short with the dropout, but it was taken well by Kotoni Staggs, and the Broncos went on the attack. Their set ended with a pinpoint crossfield kick by Adam Reynolds, who found an open Selwyn Cobbo for the first try of the game.
The Broncos then had a mountain of possession for the next 10 or 15 minutes, but were unable to turn it into points. Manly were finally given opportunities through penalties and Broncos errors, but didn't pose a threat. On their first trip to the red-zone, Daly Cherry-Evans put in a kick on the third tackle that was knocked on by Koula, and on the next occasion Kieran Foran simply dropped it cold.
The Broncos got a set restart on the ensuing set, and Billy Walters was taken out from chasing his own kick off the ball by Jake Trbojevic. They took the 2, making it 8-0 in the 22nd minute.
Manly were still right in the game late in the first half when Foran forced a dropout, but Koula was stripped 1-on-1 by Tyson Gamble, putting a stop to any momentum the Sea Eagles had garnered.
Adam Reynolds continued to put on a show. It was about to be half time when the former Rabbitoh put in a chip'n'chase to score a brilliant individual try before the break. His conversion made it a three-score game at the interval.
Despite what the final score ended up as, Manly were given every opportunity to make something of the game. Brisbane knocked on on the second tackle of the second half, but Martin Taupau turned it right back over on the first play after the scrum win.
The next time Manly got the ball they again turned it over, and the Broncos made them pay, with Reynolds putting in another magnificent, perfectly weighted kick for Selwyn Cobbo, and he again converted from out wide to make it a 20 point ball game.
The Sea Eagles were then gifted another golden opportunity when Jordan Riki knocked on off the kickoff, but by this point they were getting desperate, and it culminated in Dylan Walker forcing a cutout pass that was picked off by Cobbo, who ran the length of the field for the second time in two weeks and notched up his first career hat-trick.
Corey Oates would score a late double, taking advantage of some meek Manly defence to make the final score 38-0.
Next week, the Broncos travel to Newcastle to take on the Knights on Thursday Night, while Manly will look to get back on track against the Eels at BankWest.
