Huddersfield Giants first half four tries was enough to beat Leeds Rhinos 30-16 on Friday night at John Smith's Stadium.
The Giants blew away their opponents with four tries in 14 minutes which included scores by Ricky Leutele and Jermaine McGilvary alongside a Will Pryce penalty goal to make it 12-0.
Their blitz continued when another back in Jake Wardle dived over in the corner quickly followed by Australia forward Chris McQueen to push their lead to 22.
Leeds Rhinos did pull back a try just before half-time through winger Ash Handley which gave the visitors some hope headed into the second half.
There was further optimism when centre Ryan Sutcliffe dived over to get the Rhinos within two scores and made it 22-10.
Huddersfield put the games to bed with a pair of penalty goals to Pryce in the 63rd and 71st minute alongside a four-pointer to Josh Jones.
Rhinos fullback Zak Hardaker had the last say in the contest with the third try of the night for the visitors and completed the 30-16 final score.

Wigan Warriors moved into second on the Super League table after their 30-12 win against Salford Red Devils on Friday night.
The first half was a tense struggle between the two sides with the only points coming from Harry Smith's wonderful support run after Liam Marshall's break for 6-0.
In the second half, Warriors blew away the Red Devils with five tries in a 17 minute period which included a double to Marshall and a hat-trick to Bevan French.
Marshall kicked off the festivities with an acrobatic finish from a grubber in the 45###sup
French finished off a scrum move for his second four-pointer as the Warriors were in full flow shown in the quick hands that allowed Marshall to also score a double.
Showing that wingers also had skill, the two stars of the game combined for the Warriors final four-pointer of the evening. Marshall kicked inside for French to complete his hat-trick.
Salford Red Devils found a pair of consolation tries from the boot. Deon Cross swooped on a grubber in the 74###sup

Catalan Dragons continued their strong season with a comfortable 36-8 success against Hull FC in the only Saturday night game in Super League.
Last year's Grand Finalists are looking to hold their spot in the top two in the Super League after their six tries to two demolition of Hull FC.
Mike McMeekan opened the scoring for the hosts followed by Foud Yaha's score on the half hour mark gave Catalan Dragons a 14-0 lead.
The Dragons kept breathing fire with interchange forward Mickael Goudemand powered over the whitewash for a commanding 26-0 lead at the break.
Hull FC got the perfect start to the second half when Josh Griffin got a four-pointer which wiped the duck egg from the scoreboard for the visitors.
Samisoni Langi restored the Dragons advantage with his score in the 51st minute then a pair of late scores from Australian duo Mitch Pearce and Tyrone May completed the score line.
The visitors did find the try line once more in the final ten minutes through winger Darnell McIntosh but they were well beaten 36-8 on Saturday night.

Castleford Tigers earnt a vital win in their 20-14 success against Toulouse Olympique in the first of Sunday's triple header.
Fighting to keep within striking distance of the rest of the Super League table, Toulouse Olympique were the first to strike through fullback Oliver Ashall-Bott.
It was a tight contest all afternoon in Toulouse and both sides went into the break tied up when interchange forward Suaia Matagi crashed over from close range for 6-6.
Toulouse poked their nose ahead again just after the break when Matthew Russell finished off a nice backline movement for a six point lead again.
Castleford Tigers are holding onto their spot in the top six with their fingernails and turned the tide of the contest when another charge from George Griffin locked things up again.
Both sides traded penalty goals in the tense contest which made it 14-all. Both Chris Hankinson and Danny Richardson were perfect with the boot on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers took the two points back across the channel with a late score from Mahe Fonua who cut inside and muscled over the line gave them the 20-14 win.

James Roby passed Kevin Sinfield for most Super League appearances as St Helens defeated Hull KR 26-18 on Sunday afternoon.
On an important day for St Helens, the hosts got off to the perfect start when fullback Tommy Makinson was on the spot to dive over in the corner.
Lachlan Coote had a magnificent spell at the Saints but came back to haunt his former side with a smart dummy-half run which gave the Robins a 6-4 lead.
In response, St Helens went back-to-back with four-pointers to milestone man James Roby then Morgan Knowles to lead 16-6 then added a penalty goal before the break to cushion their lead.
The Robins kept themselves in the contest with a finish that has become standard for wingers in rugby league when Ryan Hall dived over for 18-12 at the break.
St Helens built on their buffer with tries to Ben Davies from an early kick which caught the Hull KR defence unaware followed by Konrad Hurrell's sliced effort for 26-12.
Coote rounded off the scoring for the visitors in his return to the Totally Wicked stadium with a double after he latched onto a kick late in the contest.

Wakefield Trinity joined the trio of sides on ten points after their 30-24 win against Warrington Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
The Wolves were hungry for first points and got them through hooker Daryl Clark before Trinity responded with a four-pointer to James Batchelor.
Both sides traded tries in the final ten minutes before half-time with Wolves fullback Gareth Widdop crossing the stripe quickly nullifed by Wakefield's Matty Ashurt for a 12-12 score at the break.
Warrington looked like they were set for a massive two points when they lead twice with both Wolves wingers in Connor Wrench and Matty Ashton dived over.
The hosts kept themselves in the contest with Batchelor's second four-pointer of the afternoon but it was a late salvo from Liam Hood and Kelepi Tanginoa sent the home side away the happier of the two supporter bases.
This result puts Wakefield Trinity equal on points with Warrington Wolves in ninth spot alongside Salford Red Devils in the trio on ten competition points.
