Warrington Wolves won 32-18 against a desperate Toulouse Olympique side on Thursday night to kick off Round 23.
The Wolves got the game going in style with a spread on fifth tackle before a kick inside found Oliver Holmes in chasing and shrugged off a defender for 6-0.
Connor Wrench threw a further spanner into the Toulouse defence when he was on the end of a wonderful cut-out pass from former Bulldog Matt Dufty to make it 12-0.
It was another former NRL star which got Toulouse Olympique on board. Corey Norman fed the scrum before he was sent over for the four-pointer.
Next it was a quickfire double from French hooker Eloi Pelissier which sent Toulouse Olympique into a two-point lead at the break after the Wolves quick start.
Wolves started the second half with a man advantage when Joe Bretherton was shown a yellow card then converted quickly when Wrench dived over.
Ratchford had a fantastic night with the boot, kicking fifth goals including a pair of penalty goals either side of the break to hand the Wolves the lead back.
From there, Warrington went on with the job. George Williams steamed onto a Dufty pass before the halfback turned provider and kicked for a late Ben Currie score.
The hosts can breathe a bit easier with the threat of relegation not hanging over their head in the final month while Toulouse Olympique remain on a knife's edge.

Next it was a former Rhino in Ryan Hall who gave Hull KR a ten-point advantage early in the piece after he dived on a low kick close to the line.
Brad Dwyer got Leeds on the board in style. He scooped the ball up from dummy-half and scooted past the defenders like statues to make it 10-6.
Hull KR restored their buffer through Kane Linnet. It was another kick close to the line which the Australian pounced on to make it 14-6.
The Rhinos stampeded through the rest of the first half to take an 18-14 lead into the break. Richie Myler sliced through the defence twice, both from Dwyer passes.
Things continued to swing between the two sides in the second half. Leeds first extended their lead when Morgan Gannon went over from close range for 22-14.
The Robins were gifted a big chance to reduce the deficit when Rhinos captain Mikolaj Oledzki was shown a yellow card for repeated infringements.
Although Leeds Rhinos were able to further add to their lead when Gannon was quickest to a loose ball and sprinted the rest of the way for his double.
Hull KR got some late consolation through Sam Wood who was the recipient of Jez Litten's short pass to make it 28-20.

Next it was Kallum Watkins who crossed the stripe showing off his football skills to dribble a kick forward and dive on it for a 16-0 lead.
Huddersfield Giants struck back through some smart play from Chris McQueen. He ripped the ball from a Red Devils attacker to get the visitors on the board.
Sio turned provider when he passed inside for Ryan Brierley to cross for Salford's fourth try of the afternoon. Tim Lafai added the fifth for the hosts to make it 26-6 at the break.

St Helens flexed their Premiership muscles and moved closer to more silverware in their 60-6 thrashing of Hull FC on Sunday afternoon.
It was the hosts who were the first on the board in the opening stages when Jack Walker crossed the stripe and Luke Gale converted to make it 6-0.
That was the only joy the home fans enjoyed as St Helens scored 26 straight points and took a commanding lead into the halftime break.
Will Hopoate got the party started with his first four-pointer in red and white after supporting a break made by the Saints from their own end.
St Helens were in ferocious form and four of their players - Tommy Makinson, Konrad Hurrell, Louie McCarthy Scarsbrook and Ben Davies - scored doubles in the huge win.
Both Hurrell and McCarthy-Scarsbrook completed their tries with powerful efforts which helped St Helens to their 26-6 lead at the break.
The other Saints that registered four-pointers in the 54-point win were Sione Mata'utia and recent signing Joey Lussick as they put one hand on the League Leaders Shield.

Wakefield Trinity are four points clear of relegation following their 30-12 win against Wigan Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts were in sizzling form in the heat and led 18-6 against second place Wigan before two further scores in the second half sealed a huge win for their season.
It was Trinity who were first on the board when Lee Kershaw dived over in the corner following some quick hands before Jai Whitebread made it 10-0.
Next it was a wonderful solo effort from Jacob Miller who stepped past several Warriors defenders to touch down besides the post for a 16-0 lead.
The Warriors did pull one back before the break when Bevan French stepped past the whole Trinity side before he flicked it out to winger Sam Halsall to score.
Wakefield did add two points from the tee to make their advantage 12 at the break then a short pass from Mason Lino sent Kelepi Tanginoa added to the total in the second half.
Rare is a Wigan Warriors game where Jai Field doesn't get himself on the scoresheet and he added to that on Sunday. The fullback chipped and chased for himself to make it 24-12.
Lewis Murphy confirmed the Wakefield win after he plucked an intercept from the air and strode the rest of the length to make it 30-12.
That loss almost extinguishes Wigan Warriors chance at the League Leader Shield being six points behind St Helens while Wakefield Trinity now have a four-point buffer on Toulouse Olympique.
