The NRL (National Rugby League) and the PRLMO (Professional Rugby League Match Officials) have confirmed to a new four-year enterprise agreement.

The agreement, which was negotiated between the NRL, the PRLMO and representatives from the squad, provides a framework to continue the high performance of Match Officials while also significantly focusing on their wellbeing.

The NRL will significantly increase payments associated with the NRLW Premiership in recognition of the importance of the growth of the women's competition, while the new agreement will also continue the development of both developing and top-tier officials.

NRL Executive General Manager - Performance and Pathways Tain Drinkwater said: "We thank the squad and the PRLMO for their cooperation and collaboration during this process and look forward to continuing to work closely together.

"There were match officials present at the table for every meeting, and they were great advocates for their peers. This is a positive step for the game and for the Match Officials who are all passionate and diligent individuals."

PRLMO Chair Jessica Macartney said: "When we sat down at the start of negotiations, we agreed that we had a shared goal of happy, healthy, high-performing match officials. I'm pleased to say that we have reached an agreement that meets those objectives.

"This agreement builds on the first Enterprise Agreement and has prioritised conditions, in particular the well-being, work/life balance, and career transitions of the Match Officials.
