Catalans Dragons went four for four on the season after their 18-10 win over Wigan Warriors on Thursday night at the DW Stadium.
The Dragons have had a wonderful start to the year and continued it against one of the strongest teams in the Super League competition.
It was the hosts who struck first. Arthur Mourgue went close on the right side before former NRL star Manu Ma'u crashed over from close range.
Former Rooster Adam Keighran extended Catalans advantage to eight points before Arthur Romano further added to the lead which made it 12-0.
Wigan Warriors were given a lifeline when try-scorer Ma'u was sent to the bin for a late tackle on a Warriors attacker. Harry Smith piloted home the conversion to give us a 12-2 score at the break.
The Warriors further cut into the deficit just after the break. Once again, Smith was involved taking a good offload to stride away which made it 12-8.
All ten points for the hosts were scored by Smith. He added another penalty goal which got the Warriors back within two points and set up a grandstand finish.
Catalans stretched their lead back to eight again with Tyrone May kicking through and man of the moment Ma'u was able to find his way to the line for 18-10.

Huddersfield Giants piled on the points in a 36-6 win over Castleford Tigers at John Smith's Stadium on a frigid Friday night.
The weather might have tried to get the game stopped but it was Huddersfield Giants who lit up the turf at John Smith's stadium on a cold Friday night.
Castleford Tigers were the first side to find the scoresheet early in the contest. Hooker Josh Lawler had a solo effort which caught the Giants defense napping to make it 6-0.
Otherwise, it was one-way traffic for the hosts. They led 20 points to six at the halfway mark and kept their foot on the pedal for a vital two points.
The Giants levelled the scoring through a pair of Australians. Nathan Peats scooted from dummy half and linked up with Chris McQueen for a 6-6 score line.
Peats was involved in the Giants second try from a scrum. He supplied the pass which saw Will Pryce slice through and give the home side the lead.
Jake Bibby was the third Giant to find the line from a kick alongside a penalty goal from Oliver Russell gave them the 20-6 score at the break.
It was a similar story in the second half with the Giants the only side on the scoresheet. McQueen added his second after he sold the defense a dummy for an 18 point lead.
Veteran Leroy Cudjoe laid on a four-pointer for Tui Lolohea before the winger found the line himself to help round out the 36-6 scoreline and an impressive win for the hosts.

Leigh Leopards claimed a big scalp in their 20-12 win over St Helens at Leigh Sports Village in an exciting game on Friday night.
It might be the biggest shock in the early part of the Super League season where newly promoted Leigh were able to take down the current world champions.
In the early stages of the game, it looked like a routine game for the Saints. They scored first through Tommy Makinson who raised the flags with a penalty goal.
They followed that up with the first four-pointer. Five-eighth Jonny Lomax was on the spot to take the bat back from a kick to make it 8-0.
Lomax was involved in the next try through the hands this time. He linked well with Jack Welsby before they connected with winger Jonathan Bennison for a dozen point lead.
The Leopards had a few chances to breach the Saints line in the first half but some stoic defense from the visitors repelled them and kept it at 12-0 going into the break.
Prolific try-scorer Josh Charnley was able to get the hosts on the board. He showed his eye for the whitewash and dived over in the left corner.
They were given a further boost when Matty Lees was binned for a high tackle on a kick chase. Leigh profited instantly when Tom Briscoe snaffled the kick to make it 12-8.
Leigh took the spoils with a pair of scores in the final ten minutes. Zak Hardaker sliced through for the eight point advantage then Joseph Shorrocks iced the victory cake with his late score.

Leeds Rhinos were comfortable in their 26-0 win over Wakefield Trinity in their Friday night delight at Headingley Stadium.
The first half was a tense struggle between the top sides. Chances were few and far between and neither side could break the deadlock so they went into the break at 0-0.
Coming out of the break, the Rhinos felt just fine. Former Warriors winger David Fusitu'a showed his ability to find the line to make it 4-0.
The hosts went to the air for their next four-pointer. Fusitu'a batted the kick back right into the hands of Harry Newman who crossed from close range for a double-digit lead.
From there, it was one way traffic for the Rhinos. Tom Holroyd ran a good line off the halves and sliced through to get on the scoresheet.
It was double delight for Fusitu'a in the late stages of the contest. He had the line wide open from a wonderful cut-out pass to dive over for his second.
Trinity tried their best to prevent the duck egg but the final pass wasn't there. It led to the Rhinos final score when former NRL star Nene Macdonald raced away to complete the 26-0 win.

Warrington Wolves continued their strong start with an 18-10 success over Hull KR at Craven Park on Friday night.
The Wolves are one of two sides who are undefeated through the first month of the Super League competition after another away win over a gallant Hull KR side.
It was the visitors who had much of the early attacks in the contest but it went awry at the final bounce. That allowed the Robins to strike first through Frankie Halton who brushed past the defense for the opener.
Warrington did find their rhythm soon enough and got on the scoresheet. It was a sick interchange of passes in the middle before Thomas Mikaele dived over from close range for 6-6.
The visitors took the lead on the half hour mark through Matthew Nicholson. George Williams piloted through the perfect kick for the forward to pick up and score.
Hull KR got back within two points right after half-time. It was a delightful pass from fullback Lachlan Coote which sent Halton across for his second which made it 12-10.
Former Dragon Paul Vaughan gave the Wolves an insurance score which secured the two points for them eventually. He swatted away the defense and slammed the ball down for the 18-10 win.

Salford Red Devils rebounded from their defeat in a 60-14 thumping of Hull KR at MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Looking to avoid back-to-back defeats after their strong start, Hull FC were the first to get on the board. Jake Clifford spied a gap in the defense and gave them a 4-0 lead.
Salford Red Devils quickly kicked into gear and laid on five tries in the first half. It started with them stretching the field and ended with Deon Cross diving over.
Both halves from the Red Devils were heavily involved in the points scoring. Marc Sneyd sent Shane Wright over before a break from Brodie Croft ended with Ryan Brierley scoring.
Next it was a simple effort from Tyler Dupree which showed off the hosts soft defense. He brushed away from a couple of defenders to add the fourth.
Once again, it was the Croft to Wright connection which had the Red Devils in pole position to take two points after the latter made it a double.
It was much the same in the second half for the Red Devils. Another play stretched from right to left saw Cross become the second player to register a double on the night.
Kallum Watkins and Sneyd were another of the two Red Devils which found their way onto the scoresheet in the one-sided affair as the visitors partied all afternoon.
They rounded out the result with a late double to Tim Lafai which helped the Red Devils past 60 points and continued their reputation as one of the most entertaining sides.
Hull FC did get a pair of late consolation scores which helped ease some of their pain. Adam Swift and Brad Fash both found the try line to round out the 60-14 score line.
