The Robins were made to work for the result after trailing by six at the break but fly home with a strong wind to secure their seventh win.
It was Miller time early for the Tigers when the halfback did it all himself. He lofted the kick high then when the ball spilled, scooped it up and scored for a 6-0 lead.
The Robins went close when Ryan Hall touched down from a Mikey Lewis kick but some last ditch defending forced the error.
Backs for each side had a chance either side of the break to score. Shaun Kenny Dowall was taken into touch for Hull KR then Mahe Fonua met a similar fate after the break for Castleford.
While Ryan Hall was denied, Corey Hall was not. The Hull KR back finished off a back line after a Fonua high tackle to make it 6-6.
Castleford Tigers edged back ahead just before the hour mark when Miller was successful from the boot again, nailed a field goal to make it 7-6.
In a tight contest, it was Matt Parcell who was the match winner. He scooted from dummy half and slammed it down to give Hull KR the lead.

The Red Devils pushed their advantage further after a high tackle. Marc Sneyd piloted home a penalty goal to make it 8-0.
After the start, Catalans found their first points from a scrum. It was spun wide left and Tom Johnstone dived over in the left corner.
Salford's second try came from smart work from Joe Burgess. He tapped the ball quick, sped away and despite a last-ditch tackle spun over to make it 14-4.
Some more ill-discipline from the Dragons saw the hosts extend the lead to a dozen. A late tackle on the kicker saw Sneyd kick a fourth penalty goal.
The French side weren't going quietly into the night. Paul Seguier dived over from a kick then a try from former Rooster Adam Keighran in the final 60 seconds gave them a chance for Golden Point.

Next, the Warriors went to the right for their second four-pointer. Abbas Miski flew through the air and made it 12-0 for the hosts.
Right on the half hour mark, Wigan struck again. This one was in more atypical style with an error from Wakefield falling right to Ethan Havard to cross under the sticks.
