Hull FC kicked off Round 16 in style with a 34-6 upset over St Helens at MKM Stadium on Thursday night.

The black-and-whites got it started from the boot. Jake Trueman hoisted it high and it ended up in the hands of Jake Clifford to score.

They went to their right again to make it 10-0. It was a superb short pass which saw Carlos Tuimavave dive over for a four-pointer.

Hull FC were just outmatching the Saints with energy. Darnell McIntosh chased a kick before he batted it back for Trueman to touch down.

It was all downhill running for the hosts. Chris Satae made it 22-0 at the break with a charging effort that saw him wrestle towards the line.

St Helens needed a quick start to the second stanza and scored within 120 seconds. A wonderful pass saw James Bell dive over under the posts for 22-6.

It was Hull FC's night in this one. Clifford stabbed through a kick which was taken well by Cameron Scott and he twisted over the line.

Coming towards the end, it was party time at MKM Stadium. McIntosh rounded things off picking up an errant pass from a scrum to beat a chasing Tee Ritson to the line.

Hull KR got back in the winner's circle with their 28-12 win over last place Wakefield Trinity on Friday night.

The Robins flew out of the blocks with an early score. Former Eel Tom Opacic stretched over from an offload to make it 4-0.

They continued to push forward their advantage with their second try. It was a backline move which ended with Louis Senior diving over.

Hull KR were in the doubles game to lead 22-6 at the break. Opacic and Senior both grabbed their second four-pointer despite having Foud Yaha binned.

Wakefield Trinity did pull one back late in the first half. Romain Franco was under the high ball to touch down for the visitors.

The visitors further cut into the advantage just before the hour mark. Luke Gale muscled his way over from close range to make it 22-12.

Hull KR rounded out their win with a late four-pointer. Mikey Lewis rolled through a gap from a short pass to make it 28-12.

Leeds Rhinos were in fine form in their 54-0 thrashing of Huddersfield Giants at Headingley Stadium on Friday night.

The Rhinos strolled through early and often against a flimsy Giants defense. Sam Walters opened the scoring after he weaved past defenders from a short ball.

Blake Austin brushed off the Giants defense before he popped a pass to Richie Myler who strolled over and made it 12-0 for the hosts.

The five-eighth was involved in the third score when he sliced through and sent Ash Handley over then the other winger David Fusitu'a dived over to make it 22-0 at the break.

Leeds went on a scoring spree in the second half, they piled on 32 points with three doubles from Walters, Fusitu'a and Rhyse Martin.

James McDonnell kicked off the spree when he was on hand to back up superb work from Austin and Myler to touch down.

The Rhinos broke through with ease. The Austin and Myler combination worked their magic again for Martin's first from the boot on a magical night at Headingley.

Myler provided two more assists from the boot to complete doubles for Martin and Fusitu'a as they went past the half century mark.

Castleford Tigers started fast to upset title challengers Warrington Wolves 23-14 at Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Friday night.

The Tigers pounced early on the Wolves after James Harrisons sin bin. Gareth Widdop piloted home the penalty goal to make it 2-0.

They further added to their advantage with a slick backline move which ended with Will Tate diving over the corner.

Widdop was kept busy from the tee with a pair of penalty goals which stretched Castleford Tigers advantage to 10-0.

The hosts took a 14-0 lead into the half-time break after Jason Qareqare was on the spot to catch the spoils of a kick as an upset was brewing.

Warrington needed a response and delivered it early in the second half. Matty Ashton showed off great hands to take the ball and dive over in the corner.

The Wolves were howling after their second four-pointer. It was another backline move which saw the winger cut inside and score.

It was set up for a grandstand finish when Connor Wrench scored to make it 14-all after his slicing effort down the right touchline.

The Tigers held their nerve to take the two points. Widdop inched them ahead 15-14 with his drop goal then Jack Broadbent's four-pointer made it 23-14.

Catalans Dragons prevailed 38-30 over Leigh Leopards in a points fest at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday night.

The Dragons were fast starts with three tries in the first 16 minutes of the game. Arthur Mourgue, Benjamin Garcia and Tom Johnstone all touched down to make it 20-0.

Leigh worked their way into the game and were within two points at half-time. Ed Chamberlain scored twice after the half hour mark to make it 20-12.

The Leopards inched closer again through winger Josh Charnley. The prolific try-scorer finished off the backline movement in the French sun.

Once again, the Dragons were quickest from the blocks. Arthur Romano ran a terrific line to slice through the line to make it 26-18.

The visitors weren't deterred and took their first and only lead in the contest with a pair of tries. Hooker Edwin Ipape found the line alongside Tom Briscoe for a 30-26 lead.

Catalans took home the two points with two scores in six minutes. Garcia found his way to the line from a short ball to give them back the lead.

Johnstone rounded off the scoring with his second four-pointer. He pounced on a Leopards error and went the distance to make it 38-30.

Wigan Warriors won 26-6 over Salford Red Devils at Salford Stadium on Sunday afternoon to complete Round 16.

It was a closely fought early exchange between the two top six hopefuls. The Warriors were the first to find the whitewash.

The visitors struck from Harry Smith's boot. His kick fell right into the lap of Joe Shorrocks who was able to dive over for 4-0.

Salford were missing their main man in Brodie Croft but took the lead. A well-timed short ball saw Ben Hellewell go over untouched.

The Warriors took a half-time lead through their skipper. Jai Field stretched past the defense and offloaded to Liam Farrell to get the four-pointer.

Wigan took control of the second half. Abbas Miski was able to burrow over from a scrum play to extend the visitors lead.

Farrell doubled his delight to make it 20-6. Wigan sliced through on the left and he was there to take the last pass and get his second try of the afternoon.

The Warriors iced the victory cake in style. Liam Marshall showed good reflexes to take the ball from a Red Devils kick and ran the distance to get on the scoresheet.
