Huddersfield Giants won back-to-back games with their 19-12 win over Hull FC at John Smith's Stadium on Thursday night.
The Giants were the first side to hit the scoreboard. Jake Connor unfurled a pass to a flying Jermaine McGillvary to dive over in the corner.
Hull FC responded in style from long range. They exchanged passes through the middle and Adam Swift was able to find his way to the line for 6-6.
The visitors took the lead four minutes later. Brad Fash went like a flash from a Jacob Trueman inside ball to go over underneath the sticks.
The game headed to the break level through Tui Lolohea. He chased the Oliver Russell kick well and was able to touch down to make it 12-all.
It was a tense second half which didn't have a score until late. Some lovely passing through the middle saw a rampaging Chris McQueen stroll over for the winner.
Huddersfield gave themselves a seven-point buffer to ensure they took the two points. Russell capped off a solid display with the field goal to give them a 19-12 win.

St Helens defeated Leeds Rhinos 22-18 in their game at Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night in a top four battle.
The Saints were off to a flying start looking to avenge their semi-final defeat. Jack Welsby grubbered through for Will Hopoate to touch down.
Leeds Rhinos responded with back-to-back tries to take a 12-6 lead. Rhyse Martin showed some good footwork to touch down then Sam Walters brushed through for a score.
St Helens drew level past before the break through Tee Ritson. He finished off a swift backline move with the final pass from Hopoate to make it 12-all.
The Premiers showed off their might again with a quick start. Welsby was able to shrug off defenders and touch down to give the hosts the lead.
The Rhinos swung the tide of the game again in their favour again. Some superb hands from Nene Macdonald on the wing gave them an 18-16 advantage.
Needing to find a spark, Saints went to their main man. Welsby again sliced through a gap and sent the home fans into rapture and home with two points.

Hull KR leapt into sixth spot on the Super League ladder after their 34-16 over Castlefield Tigers at Craven Park on Friday night.
The Robins flew out of the blocks with three tries in the opening quarter of the game to get the crowd going at Craven Park.
Tom Opacic got the party started with his four-pointer when he picked up the scraps after mid-season import Brad Schneider flicked it wide.
Next, Rhys Kennedy and Kane Linnett got themselves over the stripe in quick succession which gave Hull KR a 16-0 lead.
The Tigers struck back with tries to Will Tate and Jack Broadbent which brought them within six points at the half-time break.
Hull KR had another bright start to the second half. Elliot Minchella backed up well from a break by Matt Parcell to go over.
Joe Batchelor and Ethan Ryan chipped in with tries to help extend the Robins lead alongside a penalty goal from Rowan Milnes to make it 34-10.
Castleford Tigers got some late consolation through Greg Eden. The prolific winger touched down in the left corner for the four-pointer.

Wigan Warriors took possession of second spot in a 44-18 win over Leigh Leopards at DW Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
It was the visitors who pounced early in the contest. Tom Amone powered over from close range to give them a 6-0 lead.
The first half was tight affair but it was broken open by livewire Bevan French. He backed up well for the first four-pointer then latched onto a kick to touch down in a blitz which saw Toby King also find the whitewash.
The Warriors extended their advantage after the break. Tyler Dupree showed off his pace and footwork to stride over the line.
Tries to continue to flow for the Warriors. Abbas Miski got himself a quickfire double. The first was an interception then followed up with a tiptoed finish to make it 32-6.
Wigan Warriors put their Challenge Cup semi-final heartbreak behind them with this display which saw Liam Marshall add himself to the tryscorer list.
Leigh Leopards found a consolation tries through Tom Briscoe and Robbie Mulhern which added some gloss to the heavy defeat.
There was one final party trick for the Warriors. Miski completed his hat-trick after picking up the scraps from an errant Leopards pass.

Catalans Dragons were 42-0 winners over Salford Red Devils down at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday night.
The Dragons put on a scintillating display which helped them strengthen their hold on top spot on the Super League ladder.
Adam Keighran kicked off the scoring with his pickup from a Michael McIlorum grubber before he made it a double from a similar kick for a 12-0 lead.
Dragons halfback Tyrone May helped the Dragons to a strong half-time advantage. He brushed off several defenders to score from close range.
Tom Johnstone got into the act either side of half-time. The winger was on the end of another well-timed grubber then finished off a backline move for his second.
Keighran rounded off his 16-point display with a penalty goal which further extended Catalans lead in front of a bumper crowd.
The Dragons kept their foot on the throat and piled up the points. Tiaki Chan rumbled over then fullback Sam Tomkins finished off another move to round off the 42-0 scoreline.

Wakefield Trinity thumped Warrington Wolves 42-6 to boost their Super League survival hopes on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts were powered by a four-try haul from Innes Senior which helped Wakefield to a 22-0 going into the half-time break.
Senior got the first try for the hosts early in the contest with a backline movement that ended with him touching down in the corner.
Next, Kevin Proctor got into the act. The forward got his first four-pointer for the season with a powerful effort to make it 10-0.
Winger Senior completed a first half hat-trick and gave Wakefield a 22-0 lead at the break. Both finishes were well taken by the man returning to the club.
The Wolves needed a fast start and got what they needed. Forward Paul Vaughan pushes over from close range to get them on the board.
Trinity continued their dominance quickly after conceding. Tom Lineham provided an acrobatic finish in the corner to restore their 22-point advantage.
Liam Hood got his name on the scoresheet when he scooted over and gave Wakefield hope in their fight for survival in the Super League.
Wakefield iced the win with a pair of late scores. Senior added his fourth try on a momentous return alongside a score by Max Jowitt to round off the 42-6 scoreline.
