There's only one omission since the last squad update 24 hours ago, and that is the key omission of Christian Welch who drops out of the side for the Melbourne Storm with a back complaint. Lazarus Vaalepu will come on to the bench in his place to make his NRL debut. Chris Lewis is 18th man.

For the Sydney Roosters, there are no changes to the 17 players, although Naufahu Whyte has been elevated from the bench to start at prop with Queensland's Lindsay Collins being relegated to the pine. Ethan King is 18th man.
