Wakefield Trinity 12
Hull KR 14

Hull KR won 14-12 against Wakefield Trinity down at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Thursday night.

Last year's Grand Finalists make it back-to-back wins to open their 2025 Super League campaign.

The Robins flew early in the game for the opening score. Mikey Lewis put the kick high, it bounced off the crossbar and right in the hands of Tom Davies to go over for 6-0.

It was a tough first half with chances at a premium. Wakefield Trinity did get on the board from the tee after a strip. Max Jowitt nailed it for 6-2.

Hull KR edged their advantage out to six after their own penalty. New signing Rhyse Martin stepped up and saluted.

The hosts levelled the game after half-time. It was a superb pass out wide and Tom Johnstone touched down in the corner. It was converted for 8-8.

Once again, it was Lewis who was key for Hull KR. He had a rampaging run close to the line and slammed it down after confirmation from the video.

Trinity threw everything they could at the Robins to get themselves back in the game. They were helped with Michael McIlorum was binned in the 75th minute for a high tackle.

They made instant use of the extra man to make it bring it back within two. They swung it wide to Oliver Pratt who evaded defenders to score.

Jowitt had the chance to send the game to extra time from the tee. He studied the kick and faded it wide of the right post.

Hull KR held on and earned their second win of the season and another which was down to the wire.

Warrington took a half hour to break open the Dragons defence. The kick from George Williams was spilled and Toby King picked up the scraps.

Catalans made sure the game was tied 6-all going to the break. Nic Cotric cut inside with a strong run then it was swung to the right for Matthieu Laguerre to go over.
