NRL TEAMS - 2025 Round 4

A 23rd-minute sin-bin has unravelled the Canberra Raiders at Brookvale today, with a late first-half avalanche of points by Manly ultimately delivering the Sea Eagles a 40-12 home win in front of 16,125 fans.
Despite the scoreline, there were no points scored in the opening quarter of the contest, despite both sides claiming four-pointers through Ben Trbojevic (Manly) and Seb Kris (Canberra), both of which were denied by the Bunker.
Corey Horsburgh was then sin-binned at the 23rd minute for an infringement, and so began Manly's speedy march to a half-time rout.
Moments after Horsburgh was marched, Reuben Garrick scored the opening points, taking advantage of Canberra's one-man disadvantage to the right side. A quickfire double to Ethan Bullemor followed, and with Horsburgh still stewing in the sheds, Manly led 18-0 at the half hour mark.
The red-headed Raider had barely made his way back onto the pitch at the 33 minute mark when Jake Simpkin crossed for the hosts' fourth try, and Garrick had his second of the evening just short of halftime to bring the scoreline to 30-0.
Manly didn't relent after the break, Garrick grabbing two tries in the first ten minutes after halftime, but that would be the last time Manly's prolific scoring made an impact.
Canberra picked up two consolation tries - at the 64th and 77th minutes through Kris and Young, but it would've bought Ricky Stuart little joy ahead of next week's trip to Townsville where the Green Machine will face the Cowboys on Saturday evening.
Manly will take an inspired strong victory into next week's Sunday arvo home clash with Parramatta.
