Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Wests Tigers

The Sea Eagles have entertained their fans with a strong second-half showing to thump the Wests Tigers 28-10 at Brookvale on Friday evening.

An uneventful first half saw just one try scored - Manly winger Jason Saab crossing in the shadows of halftime after a scoreless first 39 minutes. Reuben Garrick converted for a 6-0 lead for the home side at the break.

The hosts surged ahead after halftime, with Garrick and Tolu Koula crossing in the left corner and within a short space of time Anthony Seibold's team were 16-clear and showing little sign of letting up.

Be that as it may, the Tigers fought back shortly after, with Alex Seyfarth helping stem the tide and getting the visitors in for their first try of the evening.

The Tigers held firm at 4-16 down from that point, but by the hour mark, Corey Waddell crossed for the Sea Eagles to stamp the home side's authority on the contest.

Ben Trobjevic joined what seemed like a procession five minutes before fulltime, with Garrick's conversion stretching the margin to 28-4.

That 24-point margin was truncated to 18 points by a consolation try to Tallyn Da Silva two minutes before the siren sounded for a final score of 28-10.

Manly's next few games see them host the Rabbitohs sans-Origin stars next week before a bye post-Origin and trips to Melbourne (Storm) and Accor (Bulldogs) after that; while the Tigers are on the road the next fortnight with visits to Allianz (Sydney) and Auckland (Warriors) before hosting the Titans at Leichhardt in three weeks from now.
