Hull FC were 16-10 winners against Wakefield Trinity in their game at MKM Stadium on Thursday night.
It was a big bounce back for the hosts who consolidate their spot inside the Super League top six.
Hull FC had an early chance to get on the scoreboard. The break made by Davy Litten set it up but the final pass for Harvey Barron was forward.
Wakefield were the side that struck first. A pair of penalties gave Max Jowitt the opportunity to raise the flags twice for 4-0.
They pushed further ahead just before the break. Harvey Smith broke the line then offloaded to Jowitt who touched down.
Hull FC needed a spark out of the break and it came from an experienced head. Zak Hardaker burrowed over from close range.
Next, it was Jordan Rapana who put Hull FC level. The backline move found the former Raider and he stretched out for 10-10.
They capped the comeback with another backline move. This time it swung left and Lewis Martin nudged over for a huge four-pointer.
The loss dents Wakefield Trinity's hopes for the top six and leaves them on the outside looking in headed into the final stretch.

Huddersfield sent shockwaves early in the game. Danny Frawley lofted a kick which Tui Lolohea plucked out of the air to score.

The Rhinos were unable to penetrate the Saints defense and went into the break trailing them by six points.

Warrington Wolves were 24-20 winners against Catalans Dragons at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday evening.
The result was big for the Wolves who remain on the cusp of the Super League top six and a playoff spot.
Catalans took the lead early in the contest. Luke Keary had his kick knocked on by Matt Dufty into an offside player then Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet piloted over the penalty kick.
That sparked the Wolves into action. A low grubber was punched through and Zack Gardner collected it to get a four-pointer on starting debut.
Next, George Williams started a movement and then was supporting inside to stroll over for the Wolves second try.
Williams was heavily involved again before the break. He kicked through for Jordan Crowther to touch down for 18-2 at the break after an earlier penalty goal from Marc Sneyd.
Dragons had to respond to the challenge in the second half. It came from some individual brilliance from Denive Balmforth to scoot over.
The drums started to beat louder for a Dragons comeback on the hour mark. Nic Cotric poked his nose through then it trickled to Aispuro-Bichet to score.
The comeback was completed in the final ten. A high kick rebounded off the head of Dufty then found it's way to Balmforth to get his brace for 20-18.
It was fitting that Williams set up the winner for Wolves. He broke the line again then unfurled a kick for Josh Thewis on the wing to get the deciding try.

Salford Red Devils won 26-22 against Castleford Tigers at Salford Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Castleford started the game on fire with a break from Josh Sim. He broke towards the Red Devils line but a good tackle from Ryan Brierley repelled him.
It was Salford who got the party started. It was a slick backline move with Ethan Ryan finishing it off in the right corner.
The Tigers struck back with a smooth move of their own. The ball was given air and offloads were flowing before Sim dived over.
Errors cruelled the Red Devils. They escaped from Chris Atkin going over earlier but then Daejarn Asi went over from the resulting scrum for 10-4.
The Red Devils did get themselves level before half-time. They had a few sets on the Tigers line then Harvey Wilson ran a strong line to go over.
Next, they went one better. They broke down the right and kept the offloads going before Joe Mellor streaked away for 16-10.
The Tigers came out with renewed vigour in the second half. Asi sliced through again and scored his second of the game.
It continued to be a nip and tuck affair in the Salford sun. Esan Marsters charged onto the ball in a strong set to give the Red Devils back the lead.
The Red Devils extended the lead from the boot. The grubber was driven low by Olly Russell on return and Chris Hankinson was on hand to touch down.
There was one final twist in the tale. Castleford Tigers brought it back to 26-22 after George Lawler planted the ball down.
Castleford tried to pull one more rabbit out of the hat but they spilled it on the wing and Salford won their second game of the season.
