Eels release Shackleton to Panthers

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels have today confirmed forward Shane Shackleton has been granted an immediate release to join the Penrith Panthers.

Shackleton is currently in camp with the NSW Cup Representative side set to play Queensland prior to State of Origin 3 this Wednesday.

Eels Chief Executive Bob Bentley and head coach Steve Kearney paid tribute to Shackleton
