Sea Eagles smash Eels

THE Manly Sea Eagles have trounced the Parramatta Eels 40-6 in front of 11,232 fans at Parramatta Stadium.

No team was able to grab the upper hand early in the match, while the Eels dominated possession and were at the right end of a lop sided penalty count, they failed to capitalise on their opportunities.

Back to back penalties placed the Eels right on the attack in the 20th minute, however, Ben Roberts decision to put up a cross-field bomb on only the third tackle was going to prove to be costly. Steve Matai plucked the kick out of the the air and raced 30 metres before passing to Jorge Taufua who raced 70 metres to score.
